Bel
I know that there are several pairings that will produce a BEL. My question is, is there a certain combination that produces a cleaner looking (pure white no markings at all) BEL? Or do all combos produce pretty much the same snake? I’m looking at getting one, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen an adult and I know that ball pythons can change coloration with age and I’d like to get one that stayed as white as can be throughout its life.

Re: Bel
My super lesser is all white no markings
My super Russo is getting a yellow/off white stripe on the back of her neck.

Re: Bel
A fair amount of people seem to agree that super lesser gives the purest white snake. Gotta look out for them having bug eyes though which is one downside to a super lesser.
Each individual is a little different so its good to look em over and pick the one that has the color you want.
One other thing to keep in mind, don't get one with other genes mixed in, those genes could make the snake turn yellow over time.

if you want a BlueEL - getta LesserxMojo or ButterxMojo. most consistent cleanest whites and avoid the bug eyes of the Super's.
if u want a BlackEL - get the cleanest Super Fire u can find.

Re: Bel
I have just about every BEL or super form and would say the whitest are my super lesser or pastel lesser Mojaves. They all vary even within the same combo but I'd say if you go for a lesser Mojave you'll have the best luck. The problem is many gain the yellow striping with age so if you buy a baby there's no guarantee it'll stay as bright. Definitely avoid white diamonds or super Mojaves if you aren't familiar with how much their color changes.

My Lesser Mojave possible Pastel is getting a very light pattern to her. Hope to have a clutch soon to verify the Pastel part. She was as white as could be when I hatched her.

Re: Bel
I’ve thought about a super fire, even with the yellow patches they are a great looking snake, or a super high white pied.

Re: Bel
I love my high white pieds. They're great but most are a bit more expensive depending on the morph than if you're just buying for looks of a BEL.

Re: Bel
Thanks I love how her head is the unsymmetrical type. She has a date with my Coral glow pied and those are really pretty high whites imo too.

Super Fires are awesome but avoid getting them w/ Pastel. the Pastel tend to hide their patches, bleeding the yellow over time.
IMO you cannot beat a complete White Pied. Lieds (Lesser Pied) and Spieds (Spider Pied or moreover White Wedding Spied) stay pure white, but here morphs have their own issues - small eyes in the former, Spider-wobble in the latter.
i also like high-white Pieds as long as they don't have a patch of a pattern on their head that makes them look like they're wearing a toupee.

Re: Bel
I have a super lesser and she is gorgeous - purest whilte all over. But she did develop a slight eye problem as she aged so was planning to breed her with a mojave if I ever get back into breeding to avoid spreading that.
Quite an old picture now;

Her right eye is the one with the problem - I'll try and grab some pictures next time I fight my camera skills.
