He said 6 months old. They were maintenance fed to stay small so they sell at shows. I wish less breeders would do this as I much prefer to buy snakes with a little size to them, but obviously its easier for them to sell them small and keep them in hatchling racks longer.

The Pied that you see visually showing the Piebald gene is Homozygous for Piebald, aka he has the gene and you can visually see it. The normal "het" for pied means she is Heterozygous for the Piebald gene. This means she carries the gene inside of her but does not visually show it at all. Breeding a Visual Pied to a Het pied (this pair) means that 50% of the babies will be Visual Pieds like dad and 50% of the babies will be normals het pied like Mom.

Nice pick up! Piers are awesome. If I were able to pick any two retic a to add to my home (I can’t lol) I’d go for a locale normal like Sulawesi and a nice pied.

Pied was definitely top of my list. Almost certain he'll prove tiger. Also he has really nice silvers on the side that are gonna be crazy with age.

OK, so there is a rhyme and reason to it. That makes sense. Now to master the rest. Thanks!

Not sure. I didnt ask the parents size or what generation the offspring were. I have his card maybe I'll find out eventually.

Of course! I believe the big adults look much better with morphs than hatchlings.

I personally would have been all over a pied retic if i didnt spend all my cash on two GTPs, one Gila and one beaded lizard lol.
The bigger the better here! I don't like dwarf anything.

Awesome additions J. What size enclosures do you use for your biguns?

Beautiful animals. How are they temperate wise? I was watching one of nerds videos the other day and he was saying how his pieds are less "trustworthy" then other morphs for some reason. Curious what you see.

They are babies so they have typical baby temperament. Will find out as they age.

Re: Dream snake achieved!
My dream snake is simple.....
I want a solid white snake.
I cannot afford to get a leucistic BP, so I would be happy with a blizzard corn snake! This would also give me the experience of owning another wonderful docile snake

Pied retics are so awesome. Not a fam of pied BPs but surprisingly I do like them as retics. Gratz on the amazing critter.

Pity about the white background... in this particular photo ...
The white of the snake disappeared over the white paper :)
I initially wondered why the snake was jagged !!
