My wallet. It hurts.
...and I know it will be worth it. Just made a purchase of Herpstat 2 x 3. With shipping, the total was close to about $650. Ouch. My currently t-stats are working but I need this peace of mind in the event that they fail ("you get what you pay for"). I hope they are easy to use as I am not very techy savvy. What to do with the old t-stats? I am using Zilla and Century brands for the old ones.
What has your experience been like? Did the fail safe work?

I love mine !
I think the Herpstat is definitely one of the best. The only thing I do not like about it is the programming. Its the only one I get the book out for when I need to change any settings, LOL.
But that isn't really a big deal at all.
You did good. This purchase is what keeps everything you own safe. Just make sure your probes will be seated correctly and check every now and then that the probes are still in place, so that the thermostat can do its job correctly.

I have to get the book out too.
I thought it was just me.

I have no regrets on my herpstat purchase and I will be buying from SpyderRobotics for all my thermal control needs.
The product is high quality and the owner personally answered all my questions in extreme detail! 👍🏼

You won’t regret it in the slightest. Super intuitive to use, dependable, and they just look super nice. Kinda wish I had grabbed another while they were on sale just to have a backup.

I have been using herpstat for over a decade some of them are from 2006 and still running and I never had an issue, I have however replaced pretty much most of them now, not because they were old but because there is a huge difference in looks, I like for all my T-stats to look the same.

I get the book and consult the Youtube videos. The programming is so intimidating. But, yeah - they're the best!

Re: My wallet. It hurts.
Love them. I have had the herpstat 2 redline for a while now, and I got a Herpstat 4 in the mail yesterday for my shiny new stack of T10s (setup pics coming soon!).
It was a bit confusing in the beginning, but honestly once I read the manual once or twice it has become a breeze to use for me. I would absolutely recommend them as the best thermostat you could buy. The safety features are unparalelled by anything else in this space.
Side note, during setup last night, I realized that as-is I would never be able to fit 4 of the silly sideways pro-products RHP plugs into the Herpstat without blockage and overlap. So I picked up these triple plug extender things for 2 bucks at home depot. Solved the problem.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c9b0bbd311.jpg
