    Start of mouth rot?
Hi everyone, I just checked up on my bp when I noticed he had two small red holes on the side of his mouth? I cant really tell if its the start of mouth rot or something else but either way I‘m taking him to the vet this week, please help me identify what it is

looks like typical Coral Glow/Banana markings, and the red just looks like their mouth. my eldest CG girl has marks by her mouth like that and they've browned as she ages.

no need to rush to a vet so quickly. [emoji4]

If they're the little holes on the side on the bottom, aren't those just more heat pits? I don't see anything else...

Looks like his mouth. I see what your saying on the side where his mouth just about ends between the lips. My Burm has marks that appear red and I always look at them too hahahaha

I'm thinking they just show up more because this snake is so light in color...I'll bet normal BPs have these too, & most ppl never notice?

Heres mine and you can see 2 redish holes. My pic is terrible from a phone but it still gets the point across. All normal [emoji106][emoji2533] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a94b24d241.jpg

Other pythons (like my little Aussie Spotted python) can have a lot more "holes" (heat sensing pits) on the back of their lower jaw, FYI. I think that's what
these probably are but BPs just don't have that many. I'm not positive, I no longer keep BPs so I don't have one in front of me to check it out. And yours is
so light in color, they are way more visible than on most BPs with darker, more normal coloration. Great that you're paying close attention anyway.
