3 more tags *sigh*
Yeah, well this afternoon I was holding my roughscale sand boa, and I was looking at her head, and she whips out and bites my lip!
I took my female adult cali king out and I was flipping a light switch, and I feel a sharp mouth holding on to me!
I was going to pick up my yellow anaconda, but she looked pissed so I put my glove on and took her out.. she seemed civil so I took the glove off, and *BAM* Got my right hand. Her tooth really stuck on me and it took a bit to get her off.. she was trying to loose herself.
I'm on a roll here.

Wow.. is that all in one day?
I've never been tagged.. I've been struck at several times by Narcissa (my baby RTB) but never actually gotten tagged.. My other boa who I have had for over a year and a half thats 5 ft has never struck at me..
I just wanted get it over with and get tagged already, lol..

Wow
That's quite a spate of nips! Hopefully no transfusion needed (If you do need call me tonight so I get a chance to increase my BAC) :P Sounds like a hook day!
All this talk of tagging - I know I am overdue too.

Re: 3 more tags *sigh*
The dum bite was yesterday, but the other three occured within one hour.
This is dumb, but I'm depressed now. I know in my mind that they (at least the conda) will tame with time (after all my once little *bleep* blood pythons are quite civil now) but I can't trust them.. people want to see my snakes, but I can't trust any of the brats (snakes) with them!
I have a hook, but unfortunately I used it on my sick Dum, and I don't want to risk spreading RI by using it on anything else.

I'm sure over time they will calm down. Do you keep all of your snakes in one room?
-
Re: 3 more tags *sigh*
Two rooms.. the warm room, and the warmer room. lol
I'm so worried about whether or not they will eat tomorrow.. I'm a mom with so many scale-kids it's so much to worry about! agh.

Re: 3 more tags *sigh*
I'll bet the conda left good mark. No takey da gloves off for while...

Re: 3 more tags *sigh*
She's just a yearling yellow conda, so it's not that bad. The dumerils left a more impressive mark.. er set of marks.

I bet if you boiled some water and dipped the hook in it, it'd kill anything that could possibly live on it and spread disease... just a thought!

Eh, I joined the "bitten" club when I was 7! Heh, was at a friends pet shop, holding one of his snakes (I held them every time I came, snakes, lizards, turtles, you name it), and it was a 3 1/2ft RTB he had, seemed fine, just curled up on my arm, and I went to stretch him out w/ my hand (bad idea) and WHAM! Nailed me on my right hand, between the thumb and index finger, on the meat of the hand. Heck, didnt even scream or cry (little kid), just said to my dad, "Dad, he's got me." Been hooked ever since ;) .

Re: 3 more tags *sigh*
Well, sorry to say I don't have a 2' deep pot to boil water in! lol I wonder if chlorhexadine would do a good enough job?
My first snake (corn) bit me alot when I was about 7-8. Stinker.
