    Hades - official thread
    Year old

    Platron Sunfire Male

Just met up with one of the guys from slither inc to pick up my newest boy. Currently heading into shed, was pissed off and a little flighty. Couldnt get any real good pictures but when he sheds, eats and settles down I'll update with new pics. Anywho, here he is...

And yes, hes getting a bigger water dish, all my big ones are being cleaned tonight lolhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...169ca2d789.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7d84c788ad.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cfeca5d9de.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...40f0c205ba.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8df2e0d321.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...546f7f4166.jpg

Good looking snake! He’ll be years of fun for sure! And what area of the world will he be living now? (I’m really asking cause I’m seeking someone in the Indiana area that works with/has retics as my Fluffy and myself are starting to feel kinda lonely here)

Well of course you are... haha. Maybe I’ll start a thread on “anybody in Indiana?” Anyway, enjoy your new friend!

Thanks all, hes going to take some working with. Very skiddish of course and striking at the glass door, covered his doors today til he sheds and settles in some. Did have to handle him for a couple mins to fix his cage, very defensive so it will take time. Big adjustments for him going from tub to open front 4x2.

It was, I been worried all day, wondering if he would eat since hes been so much on the defensive side and striking at everything that goes by his cage.

Hes currently laying around his rat, hopefully goes ahead and eats. Maybe recovering his energy from that massive strike he put into it. Will report back later with good news hopefully.

Woke up to a shed with a completely destroyed cage lol

On the upside, hes bright and beautiful. Still defensive of course, but hes not even been here a week.

Couldnt get pictures of me holding him yet as he still needs both hands to handle him good. Also dont let him down to be "free" as of yet. Picture is after he went back in his cage, you can see he gets back to a defensive state.

It's a step in the right direction tho as he didnt strike one time today, which I'm very pleased with. Its gonna be a long road of routine handling to get him acclimated to being handled. I believe we will make it just fine.

Hes getting better, no striking when I open his cage, down to hissing now, still on a good high guard with him. He was well fed for sure, great muscle tone, strong as can be. Gets the heart beat up a lil bit when messing with him haha. All in all, hes a great animal that wants his respect.

Could only manage one picture, he isnt a fan of the camera yet. Doesn't look it in the pics but hes over 5 ft,pushing 6.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...afcf9f921d.jpg

Hes the only one that does it, lol, my other 2 are dwarf and super dwarf babies that never got old enough to not get regularly handled from hatchling to when I got them.

My SD was about 6 months when I got her, dwarf about 3 months.

This guy is a yearling and didnt get handle much here recently. Hes getting handled each day for about 5 mins and then I put him back up. I'll extend the time lil more each week when I see he can tolerate a lil more.
