    White Diamond growing third eye
I know, sorry for the click bait. My big girl has slowly been growing this "third eye" with each shed and cracks me up so figured Id share.
Side note: I got to meet Vin Russo last weekend and we talked a bit about the morph. It was interesting to learn he only tried to name them het white diamond/white diamond and one of the first people (forget his name) that bought into the project started calling them Russo Leucistic etc and Vin doesn't like it. So I told him I will do my best to stick with just calling them White Diamonds.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ff3c2de837.jpg

did u tell Vin about the 3rd eye? i hope u did and it annoyed him as well. ;)

regarding the morph name, in addition to what we discussed offline - i just think that some peeps prefer to call a snake simply by their genetic name b/c it's easier. so Super Russo or Russo BEL/Leucistic maybe be easier to understand in terms of tracking and learning genetics.

Id usually agree with that other than in this case him stating that the other name gene shouldn't even exist and the more common name not being what the original gene name is.
I didn't tell him about the spot lol she has another little spot on her too.

I tried to look through your old posts and I dont see a progression for your White Diamond.. i take it you bought it from Vin?
I was kinda upset with him as I waited a couple years for one and he guaranteed his spoke for themselves as far as being the cleanest and mine isn’t at all... i sent him pics and he made it sound like it was something to be excited about as if I had paid a good penny to have some white, dingy pissy colored pattern on my white diamond. A year and 3 months later the pattern has faded out 50% thank god... but being the cleanest as he stated in his email to me isnt even close...
do you have a link to a post you shared pics in? Id love to see it. I dont know anyone else with one from Vin himself.

For a snake called "white diamond" they sure aren't very white... more like "bel lite"

Adorable snakey ya got there though.

I think that more people should be aware that most morphs change and and they are not perfect, just like their keepers, lol. I seen enough adult clowns to know my black and gold baby was gonna lose a lot of that luster. But I am still so proud and thrilled to have him. When I wanted my Hypo Super Enchi, he has some killer oranges, after two years the orange is become bright yellow and I love what the Hypo adds. I was careful to avoid morphs that freckle. Love bananas, but not so much the freckles. Always wanted a white diamond, but had heard sometimes you can clearly see the patttern. I remember a post from a while back about the five o clock shadow some Pied’s have, the person thought it was dirt from its substrate, lol. Thanks for sharing.

Seriously, the name is kinda misleading LOL. I've seen multiple people post online over the years asking why their White Diamonds are yellow and that they bought it believing they were getting the whitest of snakes...

And kinda tangent, but just yesterday someone asked me why her black-eyed leucistic had yellow and if it would fade over time.

The blackish tiny spots under their chins. It looks like they didn’t shave.

I think maybe we talked about this before. I really have no idea why he ever made the claim of them being the whitest when that clearly isnt the case. My girl is a little over 4 but I knew she obviously had dorsal yellow patterns before I bought her. I just wanted to have the supers of all BEL morphs so she still worked for my collection. It is unfortunate that people dont always realize what theyre getting or see an adult version first. That's why Ive never been drawn to the highway/freeway and other similar morphs that look so muddled as adults compared to their gorgeous contrast as babies.

It's probably just a tiny paradox marking. There's nothing wrong with the scale. Sometimes different spots show up with age.
