With that back stripe I would say he's a pastel red axanthic. Which is super hra pastel.

Pewter would actually be more common and still could fit the only way you're really knows to breed and see what you get it's just not as common to see if pewter with that distinct back stripe though some do get it he could be a pewter but he's definitely one of those too

Does Anybody Know This Morph? 😊
She kinda looks like my het red pastel. Boop is my profile pic. Also check out Mazakeen progression thread by starscream. She is also a red. All of our snakes look similar.

Oops she used to be my avatar pic. Here is boop.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...84dcaabe1f.jpg

I cant see any of the pictures clearly but they dont look like any of my Mahogany stuff. Im not sure how the person you got him from would have come to that morph conclusion. If they dont know what the pairing was then you'll unlikely ever know for sure since so many genes can look similar but do totally different things.

I'm not really a morph-guessing person, but I do find this pretty interesting. Pewter's one of those that has extreme amounts of variation, even though it's only two morphs at play.

Here's a pic from WOBP of two pewters that look pretty similar to yours:
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...pewter/008.jpg

On the other hand, as StillBP pointed out, it also sort of looks like a pastel RA. They have a lot less variation than pewters, and are more likely to have the lighter back strip and head, and close keyhole markings, like this one from Freedom Breeder's website:
    https://freedom-wpengine.netdna-ssl....-4-600x600.jpg

Honestly, the side pattern does remind me of my own red axanthic (which does happen to be one of StillBP's creations lol). You can see the lighter pattern on her spine and head is still pretty obvious, even though pastel isn't present. And I stare at those keyholes/alien heads/whatever you call them often enough that I can see a little bit of similarity between them.

Like I said, though, I honestly have no clue. He's a pretty little mystery!

Pewter, especially it being commonly bred.

She's really looking great. HRA is definitely one of my favorite genes. So underrated.
