    Pied Pippers!
ok, Clutch #2 started pipping last night. again like clockwork for me - day 60, late night.

1st Pied - it actually had it's who neck outta the egg but retracted it when i took out the tub. it has a head just like mom w/ the connecting eyestripes at the base of the neck and a bit of blushing.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/sNCTVWA.jpg

a bit later, a 2nd egg was sliced by the baby's eggtooth, but no pip yet.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/sW2Ub53.jpg

again later. a 3rd egg sliced by the baby and no pip yet.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/vQpL73e.jpg

i help cut the 2nd and 3rd egg just a lil bit for a lil breathing room and take a peek. :)

ok, the 2nd and 3rd were pipped this morning but they went back into the egg when i opened the incubator and before i could open their tub to snap a pix. but this 1st one. it has been super curious from 1st pip! it like wanna leave the egg now! never seen such extension mere hours from pipping.

first it was Pied x Pied (Porter Pythons x Conley Herps). there were 2 locks that i witnessed and then i thought, WTF am i thinking. that wasn't my plan and i had other goals in mind. so i repaired it Black Pastel (Ian G. line) het Pied x Pied (Pi Pythons x Conley Herps) and saw 2 more locks and she went gravid.

Well I hope you get your Black Pastel Pied, and a big thanks to sharing. I got hurt, like 13 years ago. Would of loved to breed snakes, don’t think I’ll ever get that chance (believe me I’m grateful for everything) So a big thanks for sharing, the pictures truly are cool as all hell. Again best of luck, Ax.

very high white but look at that beautiful head!
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/agUt4Jg.jpg

i check back later and it's trying to crush it's unborn siblings...
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/ceLyobu.jpg

so i have to move it.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/54PQKml.jpg

it's in it's own tub and now it's confused and lonely i think.

this morning the 4th one pipped. another Pied. the other 2 seem nice and fat, but refuse to leave the egg. let's take a peak anyways - Pied and Black Pastel het Pied (fingers and tails crossed for a ringer).

when i got home the Black Pastel het Pied was out and we got some more pippers! https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/KgNk3Bz.jpg

these are the 2 Pieds and the Black Pastel
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/by9WCh3.jpg

and the pipped one in the back is a melted face pattern Black Pastel Pied (!!! OMG I'm so excited!!! u guys!!) and the sliced/pipped but hiding one is another Black Pastel het Pied.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/2C8YkSR.jpg

    one of the Pieds emerge.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/xppalI0.jpg

the 3 that have hatched so far. :)
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/1sGmvQU.jpg

so i cut the 7th (last) egg as it was already 60-plus days, the eggs have been trampled by it's siblings and i don't want it to drown. aaaand i think it's another Black Pastel Pied! woohoo! as u can see, even though i cut it - the baby also sliced it's own opening (bottom left egg).
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/nSWBZWi.jpg

i'm really happy w/ this clutch!

#7 - so sad to be last one out. but it won't be lonely for long...
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/B5NADFs.jpg

here's all of them: top right, #1 - still so unafraid. it's relaxed and coiled instead of balled up like the others; 3rd row, left is the melty Black Pastel Pied; lone bottom row is #7, the last lonely one.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/AIhcQ57.jpg

they like to snuggle and thermoregulate together. here they are on the cool side of the tub. (also melty showing the Panda side of it's face ;) ):
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/OF29Fts.jpg

and here they are on the huddled on the warm side. how many snoots can u count?:

yes, u are already a member of the BP club but u should join the other BP club (Black Pastel club). ;)

( Edit: oh i forgot. u could use Coffee Bean in a project since Cinnamon is a line (or is allelic) to BP. i would go pair Pepperoni Pie to both Peach Tea and Coffee Bean. then their offsprings together to back to the sire and dam. it will take time but w/ good odds, u should get alotta kool Cinny-Pied combos.)

now that it's outta the egg, it can see that it has a partial, faded eyestripe on the right on dark drown and solid black on the right. so i really do look forward to it shedding.

i posted about their heads in this other thread: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...her-Good-Looks and wanna bamp and give another lil update here. i weighed them and sexed them, but my notes are at home. i only remember off hand that #1 and the melty face BP Pied are girls. anyways here are quick pix:

    #1
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...m/zQ7XoqZm.jpg

    and the others...
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...m/20oet4km.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...m/sURmqCGm.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...m/PXXHzP7m.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...m/ZL9kp1gm.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...m/U3QkPMlm.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...m/IDPNOuYm.jpg

i also got a good inspection of them during the weighs and discovered 2 slight kinking issues:

#1 has a little kink right at the top tip of her tail pattern/saddle above her vent. it doesn't bend her tail or anything, it's kinda just like a notch. it's subtle, not visually noticeable until u touch it.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/XhuicIu.jpg

and this BP het Pied has a kinked tail tip.
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/Dfy7czs.jpg
    see:
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om/CU6joQQ.jpg

both kinks are very low on the body that won't affect their life quality. other than that these 2 are happy and healthy along w/ the rest of their clutchmates.

    thanks for looking!

    :)
