Official 2018 FootBallPythons.net Fantasy Football League Thread

First, I'd like to remind everybody that this league is in no way affiliated with BP.net. We are just a group of friends with snakes as a common passion who wanted to have some fun playing Fantasy Football.

Second, THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR LEAGUE PLAYERS ONLY. ANYBODY CAN PARTICIPATE.
Choose your favorite teams, cheer us on! Cheer for the rookies like tttaylorrr and hilabeans!! Talk smack to Ax01 cause his Seahawks stink! Talk trash to me cause, well, Patriots, Tom Brady, blah blah blah...
Anyway, this is all about FUN!!! In today's world of school shootings, opiate epidemics, natural disasters and sad stories plastered all over the media....LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!!!!
We have some fun rules in place that you will all be able to see unfold. For example, the team that scores the highest each week has the opportunity to change the biggest loser's team name!! So whoever scores the least points each week, don't get too comfortable with your team name!!
We've also got some fun side "bets" (no actual gambling is taking place) on the table that may change people's BP.net avatars and signature lines. Like I said, it's all about fun!!!!

Week one is officially in the books and the results are in, highlighted by rookie hilabeans and her Angry Krakens defeating veteran and league commissioner craigafrechette's Green Bowl Packers by a narrow margin of 137.94 - 129.14.

In our second matchup NY Nachash put up 136.54 points en route to a victory over PA Trouser Snakes who scored 109.24.

Our third matchup saw the week's high score in a battle between Dallas All Day and Drama Skool (112.34). JMarshall's squad put up 140.42 points to set the bar.

On the opposite side of that coin, our fourth matchup produced our low score for the week. HqBallz scored 123.76 points to defeat Garroppolooza with 97.98 points. Chin up, tttaylorrr, it's only week 1.

Our final pairing of week one pitted SerpentQuan Barkley against Zeke Squad in a battle of stud RB themed team names. SerpentQuan Barkley came out on top with a 127.26 - 99.06 victory.

Friendly reminder to league players: the week starts Thursday night with the Bengals playing the Ravens.
So make sure your Thurs night players are in your lineup before kickoff if you want to start them.

I'm super stoked!!! Normally I'd be miserable since my Cowboys are so lousy (again), but a great week 1 on FF and I'm all giddy :P

i kno! good job! how 'bout them Cowboys? i lost to Dallas in FootBallPythons.net, but they were a mess in real life NFl lol. also all them new, 1st year coaches went 0-7. SMDH Matt Patricia and Jon Gruden.

hey Craig, are the timelines for things like waivers and trades consistent from here on out? i was sooo confused when i dropped my Carolina defense and couldn't pickup another one immediately. waivers go through on Wedensday and 2 day wait on trades?

anyway's i was talking to my playas. we had a hard time deciding between Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen, Avicii and MEtric but decided to go w/ this for our team song:

I managed to figure out how to move someone from my bench to a starting position, but that's as crafty as I've gotten. I still have no idea how to go about dropping or trading.

ok this is a really quick and simplified how to from my phone app...

for the playas on yo team - whether they're healthy, injured, suck or whatever - click on them to pull up their profile. from there u can do many things like:
1. drop them from your team.
2. move them up to starting or down to the bench. like if your guy is injured or suspended, but u want to keep him until he gets back into the game, have him ride the bench.

maybe u cut/dropped someone or just want to see who's available...
3. click on Players
4. the top available playas are featured of scroll left and right to see who else is available. u may see who's available by position by clicking on the positions.

you may propose a trade by going clicking on another team.
5. then u will see the trade button. choose from their roster and propose yours. they may accept, reject or propose a counter.

the layout may be optimized and different on a tablet and is def. different on a desktop, but the concepts are all the same.

Lol yeah, my team demolished it this week. I took a gamble with a KC heavy team, but so far it has paid off well. Now to decide on someones new team name....

i didn't expect to get close after Day 2/Sunday's miserable performance. but i lost by 0.34 points! or i coulda won by 4yards! like if only each WR or RB got 1 more yard each lol!!

A totally weird experience - rooting for the Cowboys to kill the Giants, while simultaneously rooting for Zeke to have a terrible game. It was a study in inner conflict!
