I heard boas are supposed to be more squared than round so to my untrained eye he looks magnificent, but sure someone with more experience will chime in, lovely pictures thank you ever so much for sharing and best wishes always..:gj:

This is him today he's definitely gained weight.
He does lighten up like last years picture it was in the low 80's when pic was taken.

Thanks for the kind words.
I think I had him just right last year.
This year the darker phase he looks rounder to me.

Romeo can steal a few scenes any time...I'm a Dobie lover too, & had 2 for many years. Have 2 mixed-breed dogs currently...all the dogs in my life have always
been rescues from shelters, including my late Dobies. The male had been abandoned & the female had been terribly abused...both recovered beautifully with me.
Many dog lovers here, as well as enthusiasts of other pets & creatures.

Bogertophis thanks, That's a story of two lucky dogs.
I'm guilty I snuck him in I was holding his ball.
I love Dobermans the Cadillac of dogs.

Re: Jack
Jack looks pretty good to me.
How often are you feeding him and what are you feeding him? Do have a good weight on Jack?
He looks beautiful and healthy to me.
I have a female Ivory Ghost BCI, Behira, but she's only 2 now. However, from seeing enough Boa's, he does look pretty squared and happy.
Males are rarely as thick as females, so make sure if you compare him to another BCI, it's a male, not a female.

Your Doberman is gorgeous!! I've wanted one for years. Hopefully someday...

Re: Jack
I think he’s a beauty. Typically the boas should appear leaner and more squared off, not as plump as some of the pythons. Obesity in boas can have detrimental health effects, as it does with most creatures really.

I feed him a jumbo or a lg 4 to 5 weeks, sometimes I can't find anything but large.

Thanks, I think he's a little more round this year. These creatures love to eat.
