Usually once a week, but sometimes more if I'm bored!

When I first started keeping snakes and only had 1-2 snakes total, I used to handle them daily except feeding/digesting days. Now my handling sessions are spread out among other snakes.

That varies animal to animal, and week to week.
But since you said BP specifically, I handle Tyson anywhere from once to four times a week. On average 20-30 minutes each handling session.

All my snakes, unless digesting, get handled and cleaned up after daily. I don't have kids or a family though. My animals get most of my time outside of work. Now if I can find a sexy exotics vet to date, we can all dream cant we? LOL

Once a week or every other week usually for only about 10 to 15 minutes. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b8fd93a377.jpg

How long is too long ?
I was watchingCops (or live-PD, whatever) where this lady was walking around with a BP, shewas walking around with it in a sack. Had it all over the cops, and all kindsof other bs I’m just inside like... Why aren’t the cops arresting her foranimal cruelty...? No but seriously, she said she has a terrarium at home whenshe is not out with her for hours sometimes almost every day.
This wasnot a lady who had all her stuff together obviously if she is on Cops lol… butit was claimed to have been in her care for 2 years now, it was given to her,and it was pretty big (maybe 12-1250gs ez, & about 42-45”) and healthy looking...I guess my question as it pertains to this topic would be..
I handledmy Spell a lot when she was a baby, 2-3xs a week at least 30-45mins.. she is 2and some months rn.. and the sweetest chill.. not anncy just wrap and relaxsnake I have ever had..
Hollow, was not in my care as a baby, idk about most of his handling but I know my lilbro didn’t do what I was asking of him as Hollow is anncy AF.. no chill andpending his attitude, he is hiss’n like my noodle Lambeau.. I have handled himbefore, he chill after you let him just run it out rq, I know if he was handledas I suggested initially, he’d be much more chill when it came to bringing himout. I will work on Lam as he’s still a baby and I will find out the hard wayif I’m going to stick with docile females or these snippy males moving forwardlol.. but now that I am settled I will work on my boys.. maybe Hollow is atthat age now that I think about it:confusd:…

I give my little guy at least an hour a day unless he ate or is shedding, Crowley loves doing his missions on his play stand.

I have quite a few, so probably every week or so, since I try to hold one a day.

Usually a few times per week for about 15-30 minutes each time, depending on how she reacts. Sometimes she finds a comfy spot and hangs out with me while I look at my phone or whatever and those days I keep her out longer. Some days she's more restless/rowdy and those days I usually put her back sooner.

It depends on my work load...if I’m wiped out when I get home, I may not handle any of my snakes just for fun. That said, I try to handle everyone once a week or so, sometimes every other week, for 20-30 minutes each. My adult redtail generally prefers I leave her alone, but she’s ok with short periodic visits. Even if I don’t make specific play time, everyone gets handled for a bit as I clean cages. Snake goes in tub, cage gets cleaned, play time, repeat with next snake. :D

Any time after defecation and before feeding, so, usually 1-2 days a week. I only have two snakes so it's easy to make plenty of one-on-one time.

2 or 3 times a week 20-30 minutes at a time.. which this includes feeding day but only a short period that day. I know many say you shouldn’t on feeding day but as far all has been good..

Probably not as much as I should, but I try to do it once a week. I don't handle her so much as let her out to explore the room.

I handle my two 4 month old ball pythons 3-4 times a week for 15-30 minutes. The head shyness is going away pretty quick as a result.

I do exactly the same, though mine is turning 1 year now in Dec. She's almost not head shy at all- she doesn't even mind being gently pet on the top of her head, it's so darn cute

Re: How often do you handle your Ball Python? (additional poll<3)
I’m up to 11 now, and I try to ha see one or two a day, so they all get a little exposure.
IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE! The snakes I’ve had awhile and handled a lot, and the adult snakes I bought that were handled regularly are very easy-going and fearless of me, and like to come out and be handled.
The snakes I bought from large breeders that do only the minimal handling needed to clean cages, they are shy, fearful and don’t like to be handled.
So because of this, I try to handle them all at least once a week, it would be more if I didn’t have 11, but I am in breeding projects, and enjoy having a bunch of snakes.

Someday far in the future I will probably get down to owning only 2-3 again.

At least every other day except for the couple days after meal time. She just kinda cruises around all over me and the lovesac when I'm watching tv.
