    Mosaic Progression thread.
So some of you know I picked her up from a reptile expo a couple weeks ago.

She's eaten twice for me so far. I've been handling her either day or every other day. Usually just when I have time. I enjoy taking a few minutes to handle my snakes of a day, its actually very relaxing for me. Gives me a quiet moment for myself to admire my beautiful creatures...
    Anyway....

When I first got her, she of course was a nervous thing, defensive, trying to get away at the first opportunity, I even got tagged a couple times.
    Now with regular handling.

She's a lot less nervous now. Seems comfortable. I'm more comfortable too now that I've gotten used to her movements, she is definitely much more active than a BP. I see a lot of exploring and curiosity when she's on my hand, not a lot of fast moving or trying to get away. She's a good girl. I look forward to posting pics as she grows and progresses.

I mostly wanted to show a decent photo of her, and share my current success in getting her accustomed to being handled by me.

Great looking carpet. Sounds like she's settling in well with you. They're awesome snakes. I'm confident you'll love her even more as she grows.

I caught Mosaic about 3-4am this morning when I had woken up yet again(restless night) just completing her first shed with me.
This is her fresh out of shed and looking mighty pretty!

I am amazed at the transformation from her pre-shed colors, not to mention her browns are starting to lighten up now as she grows. I also don't think the photos do her justice. She's weighing in at 70 grams as well and she is thriving.

Small update today, cause why not.

My babygirl is getting big, well it seems big to me because when I got her she could fit in the palm of my tiny hands. She's on rat fuzzies now and getting ready to outgrow her little baby 18x18x24 glass tank I have for her.
Unfortunately I just dropped money in Rei's new PVC AP T10 and I'm waiting for that to arrive. When that does come in I think I will move Mosaic into Rei's current 20gal long. Not ideal as its a glass tank, but I still need to pool together funds to get Mosaic her very own AP Cage in the near future.

She's looking good! Keep up the good work and good feeding.
My little Bredli boy is 45g and so tiny, can't wait for him to grow more and be more relaxed when I handle him.

Mosaic is doing well today and definitely ready for an enclosure upgrade.
She just shed and she's looking very very beautiful, olive brown(instead of mud-brown) with black patterns with cream/white belly.
She's also definitely growing, when I was holding her today I noticed a definite weight change as well as more strength in her body in general. I've also been slowing upping her prey size. The place that supplies my feeders tends to have inconsistent sizes in prey, which is fine. I buy lots at a time anyway and just feed the smaller ones first and move up as the snake grows. Carpets definitely grow at a different pace than BP's.

I got her out to look her over and have some handling time as well as clean up her still fresh shed. Good shed, no issues.
I set her on the back of my chair and kept an eye on her while I did a water change and cleaned up her shed. Went to go get her and made the mistake of going by her head. I got tagged. It was nothing tho, felt the teeth but she didn't even break the skin. Lesson learned for when she is much bigger, I don't really want to be bit by a head the size of my hand in the future.
Picked up from mid-body after letting her know I was there and she was fine. I think I startled her more than anything.

She will be moving into the 20gal long as soon as Rei moves out of it. Still 2 months out on her new PVC enclosure. I need to begin putting together her enclosure decorations as well.

Look who longer fits in the palm of my hand. Her browns have lightened out and she's more of an olive green/brown now. Rather like it. She's also starting to get some girth on her and I can see that "adult" python shape coming out. I apologize for the blurry, she is impossible to get a still photo of her, always moving
