    Mommy Dumeril To Be
On 27 July 2018, I noticed what looked like my Dumeril Ovulating.
This was confirmed when on 28 July 2018, she was still in the same position, and the swelling had grown slightly larger.
She has not eaten for about 1 month to six weeks.

I had thought that she ovulated about a month ago, but I was quite clearly very wrong.
Now to wait till the end of February 2019 for babies.

    Ovulation Pic

This Girl is confusing me left, right and centre. I am unsure on whether she is Gravid, or only ovulating now.
She is huge, but the lump is situated where I would normally see an ovulation.

However, everything points to her being gravid. It is 57 days since what I thought was her ovulation, and she has gone into the blue.

    I post a pic.
Please compare the two pics, the first one posted in July and the one I post now, and tell me what you think.

She never ate for about a month before the July pic, and has had two meals in the last 57 days.

In theory she should have about 100 to 120 days to go, so due around mid January or so.

She is definitely starting to put on some serious size now, no more doubts, she is definitely gravid.
About 3 more months to go.

I can't see any on my side on my PC. I have now reverted to my Mobile. Can everyone else see the pics on PC, or can they only be seen on Mobile.

She continues to grow, pic taken about 20 minutes ago. Interestingly, the babies seem to move up and down the length of her body.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a01fc15780.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...85e9453ef0.jpg

I took another pic of her about an hour ago. The camera however does not really convey the effect of how huge she really is. About 40 days to go, give or take a few. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...005c603a30.jpg

This is a crappy pic taken through the glass of her enclosure, but it actually gives a better idea of her size. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...97be69e5f5.jpg

    MR Snakes
When snakes are going through this time period, do you handle them at all or just let chill in their homes?

When I bred my boas or corns, I handled the females only if absolutely necessary to clean the cage.

I let them chill, I try not to handle at all.
Of course some handling may be needed in order to clean the cage.

So I have some extremely sad news. She gave birth approximately 6 weks early. 17 Slugs and 1 Stillborn. We have had 3 heatwaves in the past 3 months, where twice temps spiked at 46C. This is my last season breeding her. She will live her life out as a pet.
