New Boys

I tried not handling them but just couldn't take it. Especially since the scrub shed last night. I can't believe I almost passed on him. Thank goodness my higher senses prevailed. I'm very happy with both of these guys.

The Boa was a lot more active than the scrub which kinda surprised me.

I know nothing about Scrubs and cannot comment on temperament/handling etc. However, the first few times I handled Behira (BCI), she moved quite a bit. Now, she can be active, but it's deliberate and slow. She tends to be more active when I first take her out and if Katie holds her. She knows me pretty well (I think), and most of the time, just falls asleep on me, or finds a comfy position to lay in for a while.

I think your Motley boy will chill with time.

I keep corn snakes and a BP in addition to Behira. She is somewhere in between when it comes to handling. Not super active like the corns, but usually not totally chill, like the BP. However, in general, closer on the spectrum to a BP. I think she's really inquisitive and curious. Also, very brave. Behira fears nothing.

Either way, beautiful guys and please keep us posted on their growth!

Sheds one day then poops and eats the next. We're off to a great start :). He was eating live at the breeder's place but took a f/t weaned rat without hesitation.

These 2 critters are so different. The boa is always chill and I can just relax with him. The scrub is calm too but always poised to strike. I trust him but I know to keep my eyes on him.

The BCO has a long way to go to be Queen of this Crew. She's currently 4th in line for that crown but she took her first step today by eating a f/t hopper! I knew she had it in her :). The hunger wins again!
