Waited three years to see this
The rest of the clutch looks promising. My wife wanted these. Anyone want to hazard a guess? I honestly am not sure yet.

Craig knows what it is/could be.

    Hints

    1. It is an ALS. It could also have pastel in it but I don't think this one does.
    2. Mid range investment project.
    3. The eyes are black.

A super squishy, cuddly, scaly, awesome snake?

Please give us a body pic (not you, the snake. Don't want people to have the wrong idea.) and we will judge from that.

Since you already told me I'm keeping hush hush.
It's no secret I'm still lousy with morph ID, so people might think I cheated anyway. ;)

LOL. I was wondering if anyone would notice that. It was a reminder for my wife to be extra careful with that clutch. She opens the tubs a lot. This time a year four and five times a day. Drives me nuts.

Good guess, but no specter. The yellow is too bright in my opinion to be bright to be a super specter but I have never hatched one so I could be wrong about that.

    Close enough.

Breeding was Gravel/YB x Spark/YB/Pastel. Figuring these out is going to be a party.

u mean Gravel or YB x Spark Pastel or YB Pastel? your use of / is confusing esp. in that second animal if u wanna include Pastel. either way, i second what StillBP said - fun headache and better it's u!

    also congrats!

Maybe we should figure out a standard way to do this nomenclature stuff.

    Could have written it

    Highway x Puma Pastel
Gravel YB x Pastel Spark YB

    I'm partial to
(Gravel, Yellow Belly) x (Pastel, Spark, Yellow Belly)
    or
    (Gravel/Yellow Belly) x (Pastel/ Spark/ Yellow Belly)

It could be. Hopefully I will be able to tell tonight. I really, really wish pastel was not in the mix. I am naturally hoping for Highways and Gravel/Sparks. There is at least one Ivory in the clutch. Hard to tell with these guys until they are all the way out. There is only so much poking and prodding I like to do while they are still in the egg. The conditioning has already begun on these guys though. I carefully touch them on the head until they don't flinch away at this stage as well as stick my fingers down in the goo to get my smell all over everything. Its is weird I know, but no nasty babies so far (knock on wood).

You guys are a riot. I know what you guys are thinking, guy posts the head of a snake and he thinks someone is actually going to figure out what it is.

Thing is, there used to be some people on here that could have done it. Way better than I am at it. Most of them seem to be gone now though. The thing is, silly little threads like this are very useful. Someone says oh that looks like so and so. Always ask why. How do you tell one from the other? The more you play the better you get.

If you are going to be buying and or selling snakes you need to know what you are looking at at least when it comes to the genes you are dealing with. Everyone, even the best, can make a mistake (there are more than a couple mistakes in the last book I got from nerd). Some of the morphs are very close especially in multi gene combos.

This is my first year hatching YB stuff. I am interested in everyone's opinions. Most likely I am going to have to make a few phone calls though to be sure because I don't think there are any YB people left on here.

Re: Waited three years to see this
I miss my old YB I had, I need to add it back into my stuff, probably will look for a super stripe or ivory female at some point.

I love the drastic variations within the gene itself, some look normal while some are crazy color and pattern modifiers.

The whole gravel thing is new to me since I've been out of the game for 8 years. I love allelic genes, but when you cant tell them apart but the supers are different it might be too annoying.

Here they are. This is gonna be fun. For the record, just like the BEL's they are hatching pretty pinkish. I will do another pic with better light after they shed. If anyone wants to guess, let's do them clockwise from the top.
