I am going with #5. This is based on what I believe the animal will look like as it ages.

I know!!! I mean, I understand, the marking are wicked cool, but at this rate, I'll only be able to admire them from afar. Though I do have an albino paradox KSB, since apparently the paradox is genetic for KSBs and linked to the albinism in her line. But to have a paradox BP is still a dream of mine. Maybe one day I'll be rich, lol!

He's not in a hurry to get rid of her at all. $22K is probably a number he threw out there saying to himself "If someone will pay that, I'll sell her. Otherwise, she's staying right here."
All about what the animal is worth to the seller. Pricing can tell you a lot, in fact, about what sellers think about both themselves and their stock. Quality is not cheap, and the good breeders aren't afraid to sit on their stock and feed it because they know eventually they'll get what they want from it.

I picked 5, my favorite ball python is the regular one though, the original is the cutest to me. :)

Re: Some nice looking BPs Pick your favorite.

The second one I guess, but kinda of confused to why no banana morphs made the list after all banana makes everything better :banana::banana::banana:

Re: Some nice looking BPs Pick your favorite.
For me, it was between #4 and #5... I bet both cost a pretty penny! :twocents:

I love the banana gene! I just did not hit any spectacular morphs that made the list that included it.

Re: Some nice looking BPs Pick your favorite.
The real questions is,
1. Can breeders use information from questions like this to focus on genes like #5 or is the market to fickle and ever changing to have any consistency?
2. Only 2 of the top 3 share one gene (pinstripe). Is the pinstripe considered great in a lot of morph combos?
3. Are they exceptional examples of their genes or are they mostly similar to others that share the combos?
4. It was also interesting to see the super stripe to be in the bottom 2 when pinstripe are in the top 3.
Speaking in general terms and not absolute.

First let me say I think that the BP that occurs naturally is great just the way it is.
Second, I know squat about BP morphs & also wonder if current appearances will change as they mature? And no clue on prices either...
Of this group, I like #5 the best, but all are interesting, and yes, I do think the market is fickle, ie. our eyes typically crave the new & unfamiliar, so once you produce
a lot of whatever the current popular choice is, you can bet that's going to change sometime down the road. Just the nature of the beast. (<the human 'beast' that is)

They all change. Some for the better some for the worse. Many darken as they get older and the color pops less. Some lighten. Lavender Albinos improve (unless they are spider or pin).
I agree about the "new" thing, but there are always certain ones that kind of stand the test of time. People are always going to like Pied(except me), Albinos, Clowns and white snakes to name a few.
There are others that seem faddish to me, like GHI. Just makes mostly ugly snakes in my opinion, but I am sure there are people out there that love them.
The things that I believe that should matter the most do not seem to be the primary focus of the majority of BP buyers. In my opinion, the most important thing is how good a pet is the animal going to be. The majority of my breeding focuses around making large, healthy, easy going animals. The sad fact is that I have never sold an animal with those factors being a consideration. It's always how many genes are in it and what are they and frankly that does't matter much beyond what initially catches your eye. So consequently, I have investment projects as well as my original goals.
I do have a thing for BEL's and Albinos, however they are no better or worse pets than my single big normal.

Thanks for clarifying which ones change & how they change. I'm not a fan of Pieds either, btw. I prefer patterns over the lack thereof- pieds look unfinished to me.
And I couldn't agree more on what's truly important in a pet snake- personality, health & ease of care. Nice to know I'm not the only one? :rolleye2:

Re: Some nice looking BPs Pick your favorite.
Pieds make me think of a favorite shirt that fell into a load of wash with bleach...?
But don't hate me, "Pied-fans"...we can't all like the same things?

Re: Some nice looking BPs Pick your favorite.
Nice little group. Im a bit surprised the super blade didn't get more votes. But anyway it was a tie for me my favorites were the axanthic pinstripe fire bee and the enchi YB clown. In case no one noticed the axanthic fire bee has paradox markings.

Number five is pretty intense and love the colors sits my number one and number one is right there. Very unique looking snake. Seriously, they are all really amazing though.
-
That Enchi Yellowbelly Clown is right up my alley. Love clowns.

Re: Some nice looking BPs Pick your favorite.
I have to go #5... I'm a sucker for clowns. #1 is beautiful as well.
