    amazing pet smart
so i came across this PetSmart about 45 minutes away and it was quite nice for the most part. they had a huge selection, all the tanks looked nice, it was clean, they had a bunch of workers! these were some of the pics i took https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...46bbb0e3f1.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a71ac05c83.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...48add6de60.jpg (dont quite know why they didnt just put the kingsnake in the enclosure itself) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2e3f9fc086.jpg this was also a pretty good sale but worrysome cause itll have people buying stuff they dont know much about

every time i go to ANY pet store i immediately go to the reptiles and check out the health and care of them since i cant take care of my own anymore. im about to start asking to just handle them even though i cant buy just so i can get my fix [emoji23]

i have a fish store (pretty much only fish) near me and their reptile section bothers me SO much it’s generally overpriced and their enclosures are so small. ive had to yell at the workers a few times cause tortoises have been flipped over

Sounds like they'd probably LOVE to have someone who's "into" reptiles there & doing it for them; sounds like reptiles aren't their specialty, more like an afterthought
& a way to sell more tanks. But it's not "cost effective" for management to have a "reptile person only", too bad.

believe it or not they dont have reptile tanks, just fish tanks and overpriced ones at that. the only thing they have good priced is fish

I've never been a fan of "reptile" tanks...the glass is thinner & often they come with a wimpy sliding top, all of which I hate. I've always preferred the heavier
glass of "fish tanks", they hold up much better because water is so heavy, they have to.

a good base of price comparison is that their 10 gals are $24 and their 2.5-5gals are the same price lol everything tank wise their is roughly $30+ more than everywhere. youre only saving money if you buy an entire kit, stand and all

As former upper management who started part time in college, don’t. If you love the animals don’t. A lot of the associates are great about the animals. The company could care less, management could care less, and over time you will hate it. Tip from someone who went down that path.

Looks like a pretty good store, but of course, still log hides, still analog thermometers and hygrometers. Still trying to get people to buy a 40 gallon and a hatching together. Still LOTS of room for improvement, but that's the corporate part of it. It seems the actual employees are doing a great job with that store though!

And as for why the King is put into the little box, it's quite simple, it would escape the main enclosure with no problem.
