Not a big fan of Pied BPs, Can you change my mind?

So, I have not been a big fan of pied BPs. Just really have not seen one I like yet. Here is your chance to post photos of some nice pied BPs and try to change my mind.

My two cents: you like what you like, and don't what you don't.
I can't stand rap/hip-hop. People posting videos of their favorite rappers and songs is NOT going to change that.

That being said, there are exceptions to every rule, and I am all for seeing some pics of everybody's pieds!!

Did you check out the Dreamsicle (Lavender Albino/Pied) ball pythons on MorphMarket? Not your cup of tea?

There's nothing wrong with not liking pied. Different people like different things.

For me, I don't get the obsession people have with totally white patternless snakes. To me, patterns are more interesting than blank space. So, I also don't like pied balls that are 95% white with a tiny smudge of color. I *do* like many pieds that have minor areas of white and an interesting pattern on the rest of their body.

Also, I don't get the appeal of mint chocolate chip ice cream, probably because I'm not a mint fan in general. I know several people that this is their standard flavor though. That's fine, you can have your mint and I'm going to get something else and I don't feel like anyone needs to convince me to like something I don't. No reason we can't all have what we want right?

Why do you need to change your mind to do like other people?

Be you, like what you like not what others like. nothing wrong about not liking pieds, with over 6400 mutations there is something for everyone.

And that comes from a BIG Pied fan that has produced a few combos. but I would never change someone's mind you either like something or you don't.

i'm not a big fan of Clowns. :oops: i just really don't like the heads TBH; i love the body patterning. solid-head Clowns are nice tho, like Mojo Clowns. u do u, man. :gj:

also, just look at that funky pattern! see the line of white dots along his spine? he still has those! it's fun to watch his pattern change as he gets older. :)

i agree w/ the peeps saying why do u need to change your mind? everyone has their fav snake species and morph preference and that's fine. there are snakes for everyone. i love Pieds, have them, love them, gonna make them. that said, i don't like Retic Pieds. i think for the most part of the ones i've seen, IMO their proportions are all wrong for the pattern and saddles, etc. that's fine b/c i prefer other Retic morphs like the Goldenchild or Wild-type. i also don't like super busy 4-plus gene BP's and that's fine as well.

that being said I’m not gonna turn down the ppl to show off, in my mind, one of the coolest Pieds out there... not just saying it cause he’s mine ... I think he speaks for himself and his name is very appropriate.

For me, pieds are hit or miss, and in my opinion, Pretty Fly is a homerun!

Thanks so much man!! Really appreciate that. He seems to get better with each shed and had a ton of growing to do but he’s a stunner IMO and a sweet and inquisitive snake to boot with a hell of a feeding response !

I tend to like high white pieds, personally. And yours is a solid example

If you dont like pieds, you dont like pieds. No point trying to find someone to convince you otherwise or trying to convince yourself. Just like for me, i really have no interest in corn or milksnakes or any colubrid really except Hoggies. I accept it and just deal with the snakes i like. And here is Dottie my pied who makes me beat my head against a wall with her on and off again feeding.

I'm glad everyone doesn't like pieds. I don't make pieds.

What love your new avatar such a pretty noodle, I like what pied does to the pattern but prefer low white but that's just me :P you do you.

Thanks and yeah she looks healthy and acts fine. She is streamline and not all fat like a stuffed sausage like you see with so many BPs. I just worry when any of my animals actually refuse a meal lol. And now Harley the beardie is being a pain. She is boycotting veggies and fruit and only wants her butter worms. She is getting over an RI and I have to give her a shot of Fortaz every other day for a month. So i think she is trying to milk the situation and get as many butter worms as she can haha.

And i know this is the BP section but I'm sneaking in a shot of Harley sleeping cause she is such a cutey :)

Haha no problem. I actually got her from the Woodinville Petsmart for $200 on a Black Friday deal almost 5 years ago. She was a tiny 90 gram worm that was in the back in a wet cold cube cage. No one wanted to work with her as she bit everyone and had to be assisted/force fed. She never bit me and ate like a horse when i got her home but it took years to get her over being head shy and she still will jerk her head if you move fast by her. But for the most part, i can touch and pet her head once she knows its me.

Now if you want to see pieds those are mine (past and present).....just had to show off but not trying to change minds

Yes! I said the same thing as I was going through Deborah's pics... that and the Leopard Enchi Pied are my absolute faves. I prefer my pieds with a bit more pattern and less white - though I'm not a HUGE fan of them in any case. I like to admire, but I had one years ago and wasn't terribly impressed in person. She was a sweet little girl, don't get me wrong. And I LOVE contrast, so pieds with striking low white areas are very pretty in my book.

I'm a big fan of JKobylka's high contrast animals... I've learned over the years that I like patterns and colors that pop at you.

I have similar taste. I like the POP of high contrast. I don't hate the pied patterns just don't float my boat.

I love how the pied gene distorts pattern and brightens color. This girl has some deep blacks and amazing oranges on her. The pics don't really do her justice.

I love how she has an almost normal (non-pied) leopard pattern along her spine and then it fades into an orange haze as it goes down her sides.

I'm not sold on pieds with dark heads, its just too much of a contrast for me.

That Coral Glow Pastel Yellowbelly Pied on Morph Market tho, I wish I had the money for it.
If I ever get more BP's it will have to be something along those lines.
