    1st Clutch!
    Long time reader.

My first clutch (unexpected) is hatching. 5 were laid, one was DOA another died about halfway through. Ended with 3 healthy eggs. One is out and another is pipped. One is still in the egg.

The female is Yellow belly and the male is Mojave Yellowbelly. I'll post some pics when I get home....

It was my fault. I had a heat source fail and they had to bunk together for 2 days while the new one shipped to me. I've got a back up now. It was a learning experience....

Just noticed the one that is pipping now, head is white:)

Congrats, sometimes good things come by accident. Take good care of those babies.

The head should be off-white at this stage and then will start to darken up to a grey.

Its probably a BEL (blue eye'd leucistic) if I'm not mistaken is a super mojave. the other is very nice too
top lol - thought you meant the top of the pile in the second pic. The other looks like a faded mojave to me, but I don't know how yellowbelly effects the colors. The silver in the eyes are definatly mojo. Any way there could be more genes in the parents?

something like pastel, desert, or something? The head isn't super blushed, but the body looks pastel-ish to me, the broken pattern is more than what I see as the "melted cheerios" of a plain mojave too.

I'm by no means an expert. Really just learning morphs through looking at everyone's pics and the genetic wizard. Hopefully someone with actual experience will chime in

    I meant the top picture:).
I know the BEL.... I was hoping for one of those! The others... Not so sure. The third one came out this morning.

The parents could have more, I'm just relaying what I was told that they are. I'll post pics of them too.

Nice babies. Get them out and into their own containers with damp paper towels until the first shed. How are you going to keep the temps right?

I just snapped that on my way out the door this morning. I've got containers to put them in when I get home. Setup is just waiting for them

From the looks you have a BEL (super Mojo), Mojo YB, and a YB. It will be easier to tell with post shed pictures and better body shots, but congrats on hitting the BEL. I would call that a good surprise.

Finally! Got one to eat. The other two....no such luck yet.
