Is There A Non-Toxic FB Group?
I am only in the one I am in now for the pictures. The drama level is so high. People arguing over every little thing like they are the author of a Boa bible. This forum is here is nice but not many people. I miss the RedTailBoa.net forum but it doesn't exit anymore.

Boa Constrictor JB and Pure-Locality Boas are both decent.

I frequent Boa Constrictor Keepers, Pure Locality Boas and Boa Constrictor Constrictor FB groups a lot. You will run into idiots anywhere you go. You just have to filter through them. There are a lot of nice, helpful people on those boards. Just be like a wallflower and read the stuff. You eventually learn who know their stuff and who just talks to hear themselves talk. You then just pay attention to what the first group of people say lol.

I hear you, I've mostly dropped my FB snake groups even got a bit turned off hear with some folks saying this place is for nubies and we don't want to diverge from standard protocols and confuse folks with our unique and creative ways of dealing with things that crop up. variety of opinion is the spice of the internet... I've had decent luck with positive pythons, in terms of decently entertaining and low drama.

Forums are closing down all the time due to outside factors inc FB

Possibly the most respected reptile forums in the Uk disappeared without trace last year

I recently got back on Facebook, for business reasons and had to leave a group, because the admin. was such a snooty witch.

Anyway, I’m just on there to look, buy and sell. The rest of it is ridiculous drama.

I'm in some of the boa groups. I mainly read and Like pics and leave an occasional comment when I see a pretty boa. I agree though. Everyday people argue over someone calling a BI a red tail or this or that snake is fat. It's very childish. Funny how the internet brings out the worst in people.

There are a couple mostly drama free kenyan sand boa groups. Positive pythons is pretty good too. Leachianus geckos groups are mostly drama free as well. I also go to pure locality boas and boa constrictor longicauda groups and haven't had any issues on either. I think the key is staying away from the ball python, leopard gecko, and beardie groups IMO.

If you are in GA, Georgia Royal Python Kingdom is a great local group.

FB is poison. Another great idea and way to stay in touch and see family that live far away, however, like everything else, humans have ruined that too. Nothing but a bunch of clowns

True but there’s no way to be available for birthday parties and fun times I share pictures with all my family because were 1200 miles from each other. Having young kids as you might know with activities school and work schedules makes it impossible to see people every month

FB is for most people the fulfillment of a lack of worth. I know many who have totally changed from fairly quiet people but our now so obnoxious I no longer can tolerate them. At least we can unfriend.

I find the people in the colubrid groups in general are pretty good. Lots of pics, aren’t judgmental and are helpful.
