Dragon makers
Well my new sun dragon and red dragon makers are finally being shipped to me and should arrive 7.40-8.40 am on Wednesday the 11th June, it’s felt like ages ago since I paid them off and have been waiting for the courier to pick them up for me.
The mum is a Hypo berry line blood boa and dad’s a dwarf Kahl albino
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...76cc70d734.png
So they should give me some of these
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a7eb614047.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f4a2a2b9ea.pngthe sunglow bloods and albino bloods are so bright and hold there colour really well
My two babies are both hypo 100% albino and 100% blood both recessive genes
Here’s some pics from Christmas from the breeder, I will post some quick pics on Wednesday when I get them

Beautiful!
So what is a 'dragon'? hypo blood?
I'm kind of sad boas are starting to use these names that don't say the genes lol
-
Re: Dragon makers
Thanks April, vin russo named them the red dragons after the albino blood boas, the red dragons are the albino bloods and the sun dragon's are sunglow bloods both keep there colour realy well into adulthood
Tom Burke has some amazing examples of them
As both are 100% het for blood and albino and are both hypo should have a great litter eventually with some lovely berry bloods thrown in aswell

Re: Dragon makers
Managed to have a quick hold this morning of my two new additions, still no names yet
They a bit wary but.no hissing or striking, little male had a quick strike when I checked the other night but everythings new to them,
Here's a couple of pics the sun was still a bit low before work this morning so was casting too much shadow, but as you can see even tho they 100% het for berry blood it does seem to show abit in the colour saturation
The females tail stripe is so cool and I love the little white band at the end

Re: Dragon makers
Thanks Wayne, yes she got loads of red saturation for a het berry blood
It’s not very often a recessive gene shows up visually In boas sometimes the leopard gene does too

Well I took her out for a few pics to see if I could get a few decent pics of her, her het berry blood seems to show thru really well, she’s got almost bcc bat saddles on her top half

Bit of an
Update on my two little boas I had, the female has shed twice and really chilled, she’s put on 20g and I think she would eat every day
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b76efe9fca.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bcac42d020.jpgsorry the flash don’t do her any justice, she’s has two dark spots under each eye under her
Mouth,I think it makes it look like she had heat pits, lol https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8c61097cd6.jpg
The male ate for the first month no problem and went into shed , after he shed he’s not eaten for a month, I tried everything from the hairdryer, braining, never tried live mice ,I was starting to worry as he just wasn’t interested,he used to put his face on it and I left it in and still no luck,so last night I tried a rat pup and he coiled at such speed and thank his he chomped it down no worries, obviously don’t like the smell of mice compared to rats, fingers crossed he stays on track now, he hasn’t
Put on any weight and not too bad when out a bit more wary ,but not striking or hissing, sorry no
Pics as he ate last night

Re: Dragon makers
Beautiful! Keep filling that guy with rats! He'll catch on!

Re: Dragon makers
They're both looking great Rich. I can definitely see some of the beautiful iridescent colors on the female. I can imagine how they must look in person. You have impeccable taste in critters and a first class collection sir.
-
Re: Dragon makers
Thanks daski and El Ziggy, I hope he carries on eating too,as you say the rats will pump him up hopefully, she's a pig and will eat anything

I thought blood was recessive but they definitely look different with those red belly's... I've read about a marker for hey albino too with the top half of the eye being bright as yours resemble...
Look forward to 3-4yrs time when the baby's come:-)
-
Dragon makers
Yes the blood is recessive but seems to show thru similar to the leopard, most het leopards seem to have really high speckling too
Can’t wait for the babies too, albino and sunglow bloods are so cool.
the berry bloods are only just over 4ft and even the dad was a dwarf line albino, so they not going to big anyway
