@ Sauzo- Don't get me wrong the Olive is great but he's gonna be a bit more than a handful in a few more years. This boy is a MONSTER when it comes to food. He's still mostly on mediums but can smash a large rat effortlessly.

They are nice but personally i have really started liking the clean patternless or low pattern stuff like Olive pythons and goldenchild phantom retics or even just plain goldenchild with the strip of little pattern along the dorsal.

Dont get me wrong, i still love crazy pattern stuff but i have no patternless or low pattern stuff so i've been liking them lol.

See now to me, that is the gem in your collection, Ziggy :) And think of it as a mini retic haha. BTW how big do they get? 9 feet?

    Zig,

    EVERYTHING is sensational.

I'm envious and love the way you stay true to the "down under" pythons.

You are a scrub candidate if I ever saw one.

The feed response seems to be intense and widespread amongst the larger, leaner more active pythons.

I had Jewel out this afternoon and I thought of you.

    LOVE that Bredli sir!

@ Sauzo- Adult Olives range from 8-12 ft. So I'm thinking I'll end up with a 10 footer.

@ Gio- Jewel is definitely one of my forum favorites. She helped push me further over the edge into Morelia. I'd also LOVE to find a CBB Moluccan Scrub but haven't had any luck. I've got something else cooking though. ;)

    10 feet isnt too bad.

Is Ziggy working on a Black headed Python or Woma!!!?? :D

Man, i was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a Woma actually. Saw a guy on Kingsnake that had a clutch of them and had them up for sale. They were so tiny and so cute. I almost caved and got one for my spare T8.......but i really need that chest freezer.....plus i still do kind of want another GTP or ETB and if i pull the trigger on that woma, means no GTP or ETB.

The carpets look great!!! The hardwood does too!!
The snakes and the house look great, Zig!!

So many people share their collections and I almost always have one or two that "jump out" as my favorites.
But your collection, I seriously can't pick a favorite. I guess if there's a gun to my head I pick the Bredli, or jungles, or olive...wait, Bredli, no, jungles, ugggh, Bredli for sure, I think....

Hahaha, you already know I love your taste in snakes!
They look great! Hope the move is going well and the fam is settling in nicely.

Thanks for sharing, as always! :gj:

Awesome looking carpets el-ziggy! What is the albino one?

Since everyone else is being so secretive I'll share some of my upcoming plans. I'm currently working on getting/waitlisted for an axanthic IJ. Also recently I got on the waitlist for a Garrett Hartle retic.

@ 67- The albino carpet is a bit of a mutt. She's part albino Darwin / part zebra if I recall correctly. Ir sounds like you've got some beauties in the works too.

An axanthic IJ is going to be a gorgeous animal!!! I've tried looking for some axanthics carpets myself, but I think they're above my pay grade.

@ Craig- The move went well and we're settling in nicely. Even though I can't find my roku remote for the stupid/smart tv in my bedroom ! I'm really looking forward to finishing up the critter room. I want a nice sleeper sofa and I'm good.

Even if she is a mutt as you put it she is still gorgeous! The critter room looks nice btw.

Craig - The carpet I originally planned on getting was an axanthic jag or a tiger jag. After I happened into my granite IJ I realized I like smaller snakes and the initial cost could be justified when calculating the housing and feeding cost of a coastal. Hopefully things can work out in obtaining the next IJ.

Your cage room is really nice too. My wife and I have the same color walls, trim and carpet here are home. However, the snakes don't get the privilege of staying on the main floor.

I'm pretty much digging everything you have going on there!

Thanks a lot Gio. If only I had your cage decorating skills! I'd be pretty stoked. My enclosures need a major makeover. The challenge is I started out with colubrids so I bought a few T8s. Then I fell head over heels for carpets and rehomed my two kings. I still miss them but I realized I prefer working with larger animals. Now I have to reconfigure my caging needs and available space. I have one dedicated critter room and the three new additions are in a guest room for QT. Mama bear only let's me keep one snake in our room but between us that's probably gonna change. That's why now is a great time to close the collection and upgrade my enclosures. That's another reason I went with a couple of boas. Since they grow slower I'll have a chance to gradually add larger enclosures. I foresee a few 6 and 8 footers in my future. Woo Hoo!

    Very good!

The backgrounds and perches are pretty simple. The backgrounds do cost a bit though if you go with a higher quality unit.

I think your cages look great.

You're right about Morelia Amethistina and scrub pythons being synonymous. I forget they're in the Morelia family sometimes. :)

Not quite as chill as a carpet.

I forget when the change was made, but scrubs actually changed from being Morelia species to Simalia along with Boelen’s Pythons and the various scrub subspecies. Either way, you’ve got a real looker there, Ziggy. Hope he mellows out before he becomes too formidable [emoji6]
