First time owner.
So I will be getting my first snake on Monday. I have been monitoring temps for the past couple of days and will continue to do so through the weekend. I have a single rack/tub from tgr rack systems. I have it connected to a Herpstat 4. I have two channels in use right now. One controls a large sheet of heat tape over cool side giving a range of 80 degrees toward the middle of the tub and 76 degrees on the very far end. There is a small piece of heat tape giving a hotspot of 88 degrees. Should I bump up hot spot a couple of degrees? The tub is a freedom breeder 10 with built in water dish. Will the snake make use of the entire area including the area on the far side of the dish? Snake is pretty young weighing about 100 grams.
Please let me know if that doesn’t make sense. Thanks!

It sounds like you are headed in the right direction. I imagine this is for a bp? What substrate do you plan on using and have you been monitoring humidity? If this is indeed for a bp i would bump up that hot spot a few degrees too.
