    Where did these come from,
I am 99% sure that these have been around for some time now and where not just taken out of New orleans but there is the email and the pics big croc non the less,

[This crocodile was found in New Orleans swimming down the street. 21 FT
    long, 4,500 lbs, around 80
    years old minimum.

Specialists said that he was looking to eat humans because he was too
    old to
catch animals. This crocodile was killed by the army last Sunday at 3:00
    pm, currently he is in
the freezer at the Azur hotel. The contents of it's stomach will be
    analyzed
    this Friday at 2:30pm.]

Certain species of crocodile can get HUGE! The biggest crocidilian in the world is the saltwater croc... it can get up to lengths of 15-20 ft (though it's rare). The longest recorded, was supposedly 30 feet in length.

Wouldn't wanna meet one of those in the streets of New Orleans...

Great pics and a better story... but you know what they say if something sounds too good to be true...

These photos were taken months before the recent hurricaines in the US... those folks are in Africa (with the Crocodile). It was killed as to "protect the local people" and has been stuffed and mounted in a local gov't facility near that town. I believe it was about 17 feet and 1200-1500 lbs... still a monster and probably 50 plus years old. Anyone remember Gomek??? He was WAY bigger than the one in the photos and he could be fed by hand (from his keeper).

Still an awesome animal though, but it's a shame folks can't just let the truth be known without sensationalizing a catastrophe where many people and animals lost their homes and lives.

Thanks for listening to my mini rant!

i think that was a killer croc caught on lake victoria in africa... they tried to capture and relocate it but that turned out to be a waste of time. when they finally did capture it burst from it's container with one swing of its snout and disappeard.
