Re: Ideas?
comeon u know u need better head pix and belly pix as well. ;)
i dunno - low quality Enchi Pastel? no blushing really throughout the body but i seem some on on the head in the first pix but Pastel could explain the dull colors.

Yea he wouldn't hold still for a belly pic. Belly is totally white. No specks. Head only was blushed on the neck pattern. None on the head. Totally brown, Which is why I didn't even consider pastel. I'll see if I can get a head shot tomorrow

Re: Ideas?
I'm not seeing pastel, calico, enchi or any of those traits.
Are people saying pastel because of the 'browned out' look?

I was thinking it's either an odd normal or an axanthic as well.

for me, it's in the reduction in pattern, lack of eyes and banding/attempted banding. the really wierd thing is the lack of blushing.
i don't think it is a normal at all. too many qualities that come w/ a morph and the clear belly makes me say no.
Edit: i don't see Calico and if it's Axanthic, probably not VPI?

Re: Ideas?
I'm thinking I'll probably go pick him up. He is in a chain store. But the manager of the store raises red tails. So things are done mostly right there husbandry is as close to perfect as you will see in a store. And he's not cheap but not exactly expensive. So he might come home and we will see what he looks like in a year

Re: Ideas?
Ok so I did go out today and pick him up. Got a few pictures hedid have more blushing on his head than I originally remembered but that's it for his blushing. And almost a full solid white belly https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6478c68346.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4a3fa5a90a.jpg

Re: Ideas?
I have no idea, but I love his belly! Definitely a neat looking snake!
-
Based on the belly, it's not a pastel..... ok, ya got me stumped over here.
-
I'm stumped too, but it's a lovely snake. It'll make a great dinker project.

many morphs have clean bellies including Pastel. i'm hesitant to say it's a low quality Axanthic b/c "browned" out Axanthics look more like normal BP's instead of a "browned" out Pastel. this snake def. went through a color change def. very early on based on his size (compared to your hand). anyways my guess is probably wrong but i do like his pattern and darkness.
it's not for me, but i admire the peeps who tinker around w/ dinkers. what steps and pairings do u think u will take to proving him out?

Re: Ideas?
Well I have a very nice clean "normal" (she's not quite normal some kind if reduction gene going on with her) girl who is a great breeder and generally lays decent sized clutches. I've paired her 2x before and she's due to lay her 3rd any day now. I think I have a good feeling for what she throws as babies so I think I'll be able to tell if there is any abnormalities in the babies. And if not I suppose I'll hold back the girls and see what happens in a few years
