80 degrees is too cold for a basking spot. it should stay at a constent 90-92 degrees.

I will get some pictures of her tonight.
And she is deffianately a ringer, with each shed the white keeps coming up.

I am real happy because i bought her from a pet (regretfully) and she was only 70 grams when i bought her but now shes eating and shedding like a pig and shes healthy!!!

    And shes a RINGER

And i bought her for 30$

That is an insane price! I can barely find a CB (I am asuming that you bought CB) male Normal for $30 ,but you bought a Female Ringer for the price.

Hmm will the white "ring" eventually go all around the snake (like a band of white)

For $30, it wasn't captive bred.

Actually, I don't sell normal females as a rule so it's not about buying from me or not ... I couldn't care less .... my point was ... as someone that lives, eats, and breathes, ball pythons as a hobby and a business 24 hours a day, I can say with great confidence that female ball pythons being sold for $30 are not captive bred. And if you're finding them on Reptile Auction, you're in even worse shape ... that place is the arm pit of the industry.

Hope that cleared things up a little. :D

    Re: Some Questions
ralph davis has two for sale......they are $5000 each....and both males...
ha ha....and they are both possible DH for pied and lav. albino...

Ringers are kinda random but they usually appear in 'other than normal x normal' clutches due to the fact that most people are not breedeing normal x normal. Because of this, alot of ringers may also be hets... so you can expect to pay the het price + extra in that case.

You just have to search around for that kinda stuff :)

CH snakes also can have great temperments and eat f/t, live, or pk .... I could show you 100 baby ball pythons and there's no way you'd ever know which ones are CH and which are CB. For $30, the snake was most likely an CH import that was purchased for $12 and marked up 2.5 times. I've been working in the hobby/business for almost 10 years and have seen it happen thousands of times.

CH ball pythons out number CB in the United States by about 100 to 1.

Ball pythons are doing great in the wild due to the increased amount of farmland in their home regions. Read this research article for more info:

    Yes ... sarcastic.

For $25 they are males or CH animals being sold as CB.

and BTW ... CB & CBB are the same thing.

Listen to the man young padawan! He is a master jedi! I can co-sign. I was lucky enough to get a female bp from him and I can say...LUCKY. I also assure you she was way more than 30 bux and she's in pristine shape and I'm trying to make Master Wysocki proud of his new Jedi apprentice. :D

    Re: Some Questions
Hey everyone on here knows I've got some killer deals on females lately. So here's the real "deal" I got, you be the judge.

#1 $50.00 unsexed from a pet store...later found to be female...this is called BLIND LUCK

#2 free rescue, later found to be female....again...pure BLIND LUCK

#3 free WC non-eating rescue, known to be female

#4 & #5 $130.00 bought from a pet store....add in vet costs to that as I had them vetted and sexed (females) prior to purchase

Okay so still seems like I got some great deals. I did...to a degree.

Now add in....#3 wasn't eating....so add in fecal samples, buying high cost gerbils to get her eating and the high level of stress involved in rehabbing a non-eating WC, also future vet visits if she suddenly refuses again as she is already underweight as it is

Also add in...#5...highly aggressive....not a pet...some deal she would have been for a person looking for a pet eh

Add in to all the above, costs for fecal samples, possible vet visits when you buy snakes of uncertain, unknown backgrounds and perhaps either unsexed or improperly sexed. Add in just plain old stress.

I'm not complaining. I got some lovely females that have all our hopes and dreams residing in their snakey bodies but think again if you think deals are always deals. Personally, I can't wait for Finn to arrive from his great breeder. It'll be nice to finally have one snake in the house that I actually know something about!

As for ReptileAuction, sure I look there too. Most of the so called breeders there when I run them on Fauna BOI....I run the other way but if you have the money to gamble (we sure don't) feel free.

Oh and on the old CB, CBB thing. Personally I don't care what smoke the pet store blows up my.....you get the idea. I mark all our snakes that come from any source other than a breeder I trust as "of unknown origin".
