    Flames
I have my girl for a month or more now and I have seen that more flames have appeared after her last shed. The ones she already had are growing or spreading over her body. Is that possible? thx and God bless

Yep.. blushing can intensify with each shed, and patterns can change a bit.

    Re: Flames
    They can definitely increase.

This is a pic of one of my girls that has super amounts of blushing that after each shed gets more intense. After her last shed, her tail past the full body wrap around blushing turned a lighter color.

BP's never cease to amaze me. Normals can be just as unique as some of the high dollar morphs.

are you guys reffering (when you say blushing) to whenthe tan pattern turns really light right after a BP sheds?

    Re: Flames
No, blushing is the light colored spots in the normally black part of the BP's pattern. The blushing spots are circled in basuca's picture.

    Re: Flames
Can blushing also decrease with age and sheds? Our 7 month old female used to have a fair bit of darkish brown in her black background color. Now she only has about 5 very small brown areas down her back but she's gone more of a dark shiney black.

Besides adding a unique look to your snake, it is also one of the markers of a yellow belly.

A true yellow belley has flames all along the sides. Look at a belly shot of a yellow belly and you will see the extreme flames.

    Re: Flames
I was under the impression that "Markers" were still undecided as actually being relevent as far as genetics???

    Re: Flames
Certain flames characterize yellow bellies along with other traits.

Just because a bP has flames does not make it a yellow belly.

This will explain how to identify a yellow belly.
