Superior hides
Decided against RBI hides, i wanted something with a lower profile, and a heavier plastic material. Also, would be nice not to deal with shipping.
I found exactly what i wanted at Walmart.
$3.94 for the small hides, $4.83 for the medium hides. Custom hide entrance created with a hot soldering iron.

Not bad. I have had good luck with RBI hides except for a few of them warping. I just ordered 2 of the XL ones for Dottie as it's beyond clearly evident that they are too small for her now lol. I think even she has accepted it as she is laying outside stretched out more often now haha.

The RBI are nice, just a bit too tall and a bit too flimsy for my ideal.

Superior hides
New addition Kali peeking out from her new hide. [emoji4] (a young adult pastel, she just ate her first meal since arriving, but will get an introduction to the forum soon.)

A snake next to the hides for size reference.

Meh, i guess. I'm used to them so they work for me. I personally dont want really heavy hides as the snakes like to burrow under them or shove them around and i dont want someone getting squished or pinched from weight. As for flimsy, they seem pretty sturdy to me. I mean i got the jumbo ones for Caesar, Vic and Rosey and at least weigh in about a year ago, Rosey was 12.7 lbs and she sits on top of them and they dont even flex. Same with Caesar and I know he is heavier than Rosey. And i know they are pretty tough as freakin Caesar pushed one off the top of the T25 stack a couple nights ago when i left his door open. The spud climbed up top and i hear this big like hollow 'boing' sound and i look over the see Caesar looking down at the floor and on the floor was one of the jumbo hides haha.

Nah, the snakes don’t mind, lol. I bought a couple of these hides to try out about 6 months ago. The snakes favor them over all the others I’ve tried, so i finally switched to using all these rubbermaid hides. Nothing wrong with RBI, i just find these superior.
