Re: Quick Shedding Question
Yep getting ready to shed. The eyes will clear up again fir a day or 2 before the skin comes off so dont worry you missed it somehow.

Re: Quick Shedding Question
Albinos are a nightmare to tell if they're in shed - I just can't tell with some of mine ..
Anyways .. as soon as his eyes clear up you should spray the viv well morning and evening and it will have a good shed sometime after that - can take 5 or 6 days though .
I normally find Royals sheds in a messy lump under one of the hides ..

Re: Quick Shedding Question
Thanks for the responses everyone. Never had a problem w/ humidity, it's always been in the 70s so hopefully I'll get a good shed. The 1st shed was a perfect shed and the 2nd was in a couple pieces but there was nothing ever stuck to the BP. I tend to not spray since my humidity is so high.
I'm wondering now if this might of been a factor in him not taking his rat pup on Saturday. At least that's what I'll chalk it up as since he's such a 'mouser'.....
Oh, and I checked last night and his eyes look to have cleared up. Such an interesting process.
Re: Quick Shedding Question
Is it best to avoid holding during this process?

unless you wana risk a nip! Coffee Bean is my only girl who chooses fight instead of flight while in shed, everyone else is fine. it's only recommended not to handle them during a shed as they're not feeling their best and they'll get stressed out.

He's a pretty chill and submissive BP so I can't imagine him nipping but don't really feel like finding out the hard way ;)

Like Taylor said they get stressed easily, especially when their eyes are clouded. They are uncomfortable and feel vulnerable during shed, so it’s best to not add to it and just leave them be.
Chiquita is a bit jumpy to begin with, as I don’t think she was used to being handled very much at all.
She he is in shed now, noticed pink belly yesterday, eyes starting to cloud today. When I opened her tub last night to mist it and bump the humidity a little bit she was in her hide and I couldn’t see her.
As soon as I began spraying the substrate (outside her hide, not even in it), she pulled a Jackie Chan, ninja move and struck twice from inside her hide.
She didn’t connect with her little display, but startled me, as I wasn’t expecting it.
