Put the snake in a rubbermaid container with water no higher than the snakes back. Snap the lid on and place the container back into the snakes cage (so that it stays warm) for about 1 hour .... then take out the snake and slide off as much of the shed as you can with your hands.

Repeat the process once each night until it's all gone.

    :D

another thing to do is hold you snake in damp towel and let it cawl around through. You can gently rub off some spots that have not come off also.

I need help really bad. I've had a ball python about two and a half months, it's about two feet long, male. And it got loose out of it's tank. I don't know how but I was hoping someone in here could help me maybe lure it out or somthing please it's been gone for about 2 days with out my notice and we have cats so i need to find it fast!

Look around any electrical equipment. Anything that might put off heat. Also check out ever nook and cranny that is nice and dark. I would start with the room you had the snake in. You could try waiting until dark, and then bringing out a meal. (frozen or live) Turn the lights out and wait. (remember they are nocturnal!) Sorry this is all I can come up with off the top of my head. Good luck.

start within a 10 foot radius of the snake's tank and search everything. anywhere that you think it impossible for it to get check because chances are it can get there. work your way out from there combing the area as you go. definitely check anywhere that might provide a heat source. sometimes leaving a prey item on top of a heat pad close to the tank in an easily accessible area will lure the snake out. if you don't find it after the initial search start over again searching within a 10 foot radius. just remember that it is amazing how small of a space they can squeeze themselves into. good luck!

man, i found this website that told exactly how to find a escaped snake. maybe i can dig it up.
i can tell you some stuff i member from it. make a sent trail with a p/k gerbil(in your case a small maybe pinkie or weanling gerbil) in the room you think he is in and make the sent trail to lead to a warm cardboard box with a circular hole cut into it. hopefully in the morning he'll be in the box.
and you can try putting crumpled up newspaper behind a bookshelf etc., anything that they would crawl along and in the middle of the night sit and wait with all the lights turned off and everything is quiet with a flash light in hand(leave it turned off until you hear the newspaper crackle) then go get him.
i cant member anything else but hopefully that helps.

This happened to me once. Though she was only gone for about ten hours, you cannot imagine (as was already said) how small of a space these little snakeys can get into. I found mine INSIDE (not under) my heating vent. I have no idea how she jammed herself in there but wow. You need to look in every place you can think of & those that you cannot think of!
