J/k. Looks good. I have one question though, why did you put a strip of heat tape on the back and not run it on the floor? I've run heat tape on the side of my GTP cage and it warmed it up but didnt give a very good gradient. Also running heat tape between the cages can give you a double benefit in that it provides a warm spot on the upper cage and will kind of heat the air in the lower cage above the lower cages hot spot.
Also a bit of advice, if you ever use the bottom cage for a snake, throw down a sheet of 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch plywood. Cages on the floor tend to get the heat sapped right out of them. At least that is what Bob from Pro Products told me when we were talking.
Otherwise, nice looking set up.
Oh forgot to add, if you cover the heat tape with foil tape, it will help focus the heat more towards the cage and not allow as much to just escape out the other side.
Thanks for the compliments each cage hase a 40 gallon under tank heater in the hot spot covered by a piece of 1/4 inch plexi glass so the snakes aren’t directly on it . Here’s also a probe for the herpstat2 on top of the plexi so it dosnt get too hot . I just put the 12” flexwatt on the cool side because it wasn’t getting above 70 and I wanted to bring it up to 80-85. As far as covering the whole felxwat lt in the aluminum tape , I saw a video on YouTube that made me believe I wasn’t supposed to go over the edge of plastic on the sides. Here was a dotted line I basically followed ..... I but after the heat tape the ambient temp is right around 80 degrees . Thanks for the tips and good to know about the bottom tank I appreciate the help

Just a rough idea of what the 40 gallon under tank heater with the plexi looks like so you understand more .

Thank you , I didn’t realize that my lighting made the tank look blue . The tank is actually all white but I can see why you got that mixed up . My gf just told me t looks blue as well. Kinda like that whole black and blue or white and gold dress thing that went down a few years back .

I never had a problem with it but on the ones i have sandwiched between the cages, i only tape the 4 corners as the cages themselves more or less hold them down and i dont need to tape the outside of it as i want the heat the penetrate the lower cage top anyways.
Do you think I should cover the whole flexwat in tape to keep it tighter to the cage ???

Super nice setup, kudos !!!
I have also read somewhere that aluminium tape can mess with the electricity? Not sure if that is true, though..
If you want the heat tape nicely against the cage as well as insulated (and not touching anything the cage may be leaning against) you can get a sheet of that super thin styrofoam (or other thin insulating material, push it against the heat tape and then tape it to the cages really well. Even when I have heat tape under a cage, I like to have the exposed side insulated, unless its a stacked unit.
If the cage sits on a stand, table or plywood, I put s sheet of styrofoam between the cage/heat tape and whatever it is sitting on. Making sure the styrofoam is taped against the cage and has a little cutout for cable and probe to sit in. It keeps the probe securely against the heat tape without bending the styrofoam.

Aluminum tape is fine so long as it is not on probe tips and exposed conduit or wiring. It is excellent to use to secure down the wire parts of probes as well as the edges of flexwatt. You can get away with 3 sides of the flexwatt because all you need is a loose fit that keeps it in contact with the pvc. Don't forget that any heat from the top of one cage is going to radiate up to the bottom of the one above so take that into account with temps.
One word of warning as someone here had a nightmare from it... That fake stump in the top cage is a potential trap for any snake. We have had several people actually get theirs stuck. I can't recommend enough to toss that ASAP and anything else with holes you can't fit you hand into.
This is what I am talking about. It has holes in the bottom they will get into
