    He's on his way!
My new little friend started his journey to Colorado this morning! It's so weird knowing that right now he's in a box on a truck or a plane, but it's probably a much weirder experience for him. He should arrive at the nearest hub before 9am tomorrow morning, so the rest of today shall be spent making sure his setup is how it needs to be! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3efa1b65a2.jpg

Thank you! Luckily they're already too short to bite... So far. I'm getting a banana or Coral glow emperor pinstripe!

I think he's probably on a plane of some sort right about now. Of course, I'm presently watching a plane crash documentary, so that totally helps the nerves. :rolleyes:https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...86a8a0c3ac.jpg

Congratulations! I’m waiting for the weather to cooperate so my Super Lesser (BEL) girl can ship to me. A banana is on my list and so is a Pastel Highway at some point.

so the breeder isn’t sure or can’t confirm if it’s a banana or coral
    glow?

much like Lesser and Butter, Coral Glow and Banana are the same gene but they started off as different lines. [emoji4]

sorry if i sound like a hater but that's my big feedback/critique of Dynasty Reptiles: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...=1#post2590211 previously they didn't track the genetic lines of their animals and i'm not sure where they're at sorting it out today. maybe not important for most pet owners but can be important to breeders. still alotta beautiful animals tho and unbeatable prices tho.

thanks for sharing this (sorry, OP; quick hijack): i've been eyeing some CG combos of theirs, but my banana/CG girl was sold to me as a Coral Glow so i've been wanting Coral Glows specifically.

I sort of did, but it's not the most exciting- it's mostly me trying to find something to cut the zip tie with and then trying to calm down enough to tell if he was breathing. I might try to cut some of the more boring bits out and post it later.

Thank you!! I actually wasn't sure what the difference was, beyond that one often freckled and one did not. I was just going to be super scientific and see whether or not he ever freckled and go from there.

He was treated to some George Strait, Shinedown, Linda Eder, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, and Hank Williams, all at a volume low enough to keep the subwoofers from getting excited.
    :D

    Pictures very shortly!

Well, unboxing was a bit of an ordeal for both of us. I kept having dreams about dead or dying snakes last night, so I was anxious, and he was stressed for obvious reasons. Once I ascertained he was indeed alive, I weighed him (271 grams!), and he tied himself in a knot. Picked him up to untangle him, and he just made himself more awkward. Then he decided he was just Done. With. All. Things, and didn't want to be held anymore, so I let him put himself away. He has continued to be a dork, and as you can see from the last picture, I don't think he's impressed by how his past two days have gone.

Haha, thank you! Isn't he a chunk?! Hopefully that means he's a chowhound and feeding won't be a problem.
It's a good thing I have a long work day so I don't just sit there and watch him all day, which I'm sure would not help. Once he gets warmed up and there's nothing for him to watch, I think he'll calm down.

Target! I think I paid $10.37 for two. They come in several different colors, these just happened to coordinate with his water dish. They're a bit too big to go around a 32 quart by themselves, so there needs to be something under them to make up for that space.

I was thinking maybe something in elvish, but he's such a dork, and so shy-yet-not-shy that I maaaay end up calling him Horatio (as in Horatio Hornblower). But there's still much name research to be done. :D

:D Haha, I definitely did not want him flying into the windshield or off the seat if I had to hit the brakes on the way home. Fortunately, his box was juuuust the right size for buckling.

Oh my gosh, I had forgotten completely about CSI Miami!!! I am inordinately pleased that my snake has his own meme now.

Funny enough, my car also came from Florida... Maybe that's a sign I'm supposed to move there? :confusd:
