Is this guy worth $175 the seller says he's a hypo motley het sharp and blood. Local person needing to fix her car and unload the snake to help fund. Normally I wouldn't participate in this sort of transaction, but she is in emergency.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a5851cc4ee.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...dbd0576439.jpg

    Tough situation.

    Very pretty snake.

I am no expert on pricing though. I would pay $175 for that snake, but that's just me. Do you plan to breed or just keep as a pet? How old is he?

If the latter I wouldn't worry so much about her genetics, but if you do, difficult to confirm het anything without breeding.

If you take him home, just remember to quarantine, which I imagine you already know.

Good luck and keep us in the loop.

Is that price for just the snake? If so, ask for the enclosure and "accessories". I'd pay 175 for the complete package

No plans to breed. I have a male and this is another male. I want to expand my "collection" more but by obtaining a variety of species. I'm not into making money off any of them. I'm so tempted to pick this one up both because he's pretty and because she needs help. Hmmm.. I guess I'll just wait and see if anyone else picks him up first. Snakes are worse than tattoos... Lol

It is for the complete package... I'm mulling it over. Difficult decision. I've got space and time, but I'm not sure if I want to pull money from the others I'm on waiting list for... Bahh! Lol

I'm very irresponsible with money! Just do it. It'll help a person in need and feed your addiction. If you decide down the road that you don't want him anymore, I'm sure you could sell or trade him with no problem

I'd pay that much just for the snake and be delirious ...

For the whole package I'd snap her hands off ...plus you're doing her a favour .

    Win win situation .

I've been playing around with Google just to see the average price for similar boas and the cheapest I found was a little over 400 for just the snake.

That’s a great price just for the quality of the hypo motley great tail colour, some hypos are a bit washed out, that’s even better price with the set up, I’d say go for it, lol
As someone one else said your actuality helping the lady and getting a great snake

Bear in mind that in boas hypo and motley are allelic so they are in demand as breeders, as that male will always throw either hypo or motley to the babies. Het sharp is unproven. Personally I would take just him if my friend really needed the cash.

Looks hypo....looks motley. As for the sharp, wont know unless you know the breeder or try and breed it to a known sharp.

As to answer your question, imo, yes its worth it. But the real value of a snake is in the eye of the beholder. If you like it, then it's well worth it. I have probably overpaid on a couple of my snakes but to me they were well worth it and i wouldnt change any of it.

He got scooped before I could get back at them. I didn't expect him to sit for long, but in a little salty to be real about it... The rule is don't hesitate buy the snake food isn't a necessity... Lol

There is are 2 adult ball python, an enchi adult female and a butter adult male in my local cragslist. No price is listed, I am SOOOOO tempted to make an offer, but really shouldn't be spending money right now.:P

Shoot, even for just the snake that's a no-brainer.

I figured he would move fast, as a boa breeder you simply WANT to have motley in your arsenal of genetics....motley babies of any sort move quicky.
