I have been wanting to give Debo his own thread but I've been letting him make himself at home, so to speak.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cba205769f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e707c6d1ae.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1ecc1bedf8.jpg

    Nice boa!

Do you know age, morph, weight?

    Just curious.

I have a 1 3/4 year old Ivory Ghost Female, Behira.

    Boa's are awesome!

    Enjoy and good luck!

I have no clue. I haven't weighed him yet but I will soon. He's " straight outta quarantine " [emoji16] I'm pretty sure he's normal or morphless. I did get a good length estimate by laying on the ground and letting him stretch out next to me so he's around 6 feet

    LOL - Straight outta quarantine!

He looks really good whatever he is and seems to be in good hands.

    Good luck with him!

There some good Boa peeps on here that should help out if you have questions.

I decided to let debo come out n play. My intention was to let him explore my bed while I watch a movie. Apparently, he REALLY likes me. He won't let go and my hand is completely numbhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...71869a0f40.jpg

    Awesome!

BCI’s can move a lot when being handled. Not so much like most BP’s.

However, they seem to deal with redirection well.

Every time Katie holds Behira she’s all over the place. Won’t sit still.

I will hold her for two minutes and she curls up and rests and/or falls asleep on me!

I guess we are both Boa Whisperers!

Lol... hes very calm for me. He doesn't seem to like anyone else hanling him and wont be still. I can tell he wants nothing to do with them and it makes me feel special. The only time he gets active for me is when I try to put him back in his enclosure or put him down. He usually constricts the crap outta me and tries to climb me

Congrats on the new guy! Boas can definitely be a little uncertain about being set down since they're semi-arboreal: they feel like they're falling! You basically gotta make it seem like their idea. :P

Ain't that the truth! The only way I can get him back in his enclosure is by aiming his head at his hide entrance. If I don't do that ,he constricts the crap outta my arm and darts his head around frantically.

LOL [emoji23] Anubis does exactly that but she’s barely 3ft and maybe now 400g but man she’s gaining weight QUICK and I’m not stuffing her like a turkey (well cept this past week I fed her twice cause my BEL didn’t feed so she got it, not like it’s gonna bother her, she’s getting rat pups still, I wanna keep her on them till everyone is up to weaned rats then I’ll move her up. That won’t be for a while though.

Very much! I fed all my snakes and my normal gir only ate one of the 2 that was for her and I didn't want to house it so I tossed a rat pup in with him and he ate it. I didn't attempt to get a picture because it was so small I could hardly see it. Debo couldn't even coil around it so he just used his mouth to suffocate the rat by clamping his jaws on it for a good 5 minutes and then a quick gulp an it was over
