Thank you all very much! I’ll try and find the best pic of Sammy the Okeetee I have , but like I said my photo skills are lacking! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...aa661322c4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e9ae3110b5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f7e02676f0.jpg

Re: Champ the Dumerils Boa
I’ll post a few more pics of Sammy in the proper corn snake forum, thanks again for the compliments on Champ, he’s an amazing guy. He’s approx 52 in and is on 100-120g f/t rats every 3 weeks. He lives in a older 4x2x16 Neodesha with belly heat for an 85* hot spot and 60 watt CHE for ambient heat. Substrate is a mix of peat and cypress mulch deep enough to burrow in. Humidity is pretty consistent @ 60%. Never turns down a meal and has complete one piece sheds.

Re: Champ the Dumerils Boa
Thanks Scooter, they are definitely cool boas, my personal favorite, though my experience with other boas is pretty limited to be honest. I hope you do get another one soon. It’s always great to talk with other keepers and see pics. Gotta love the Dums pics!

Re: Champ the Dumerils Boa
I took Champ out for a little exercise but he was having none of it ! His last meal was on the larger size and probably put him into shed mode. I took a couple of pictures anyway. Not the most exciting pics, but he's still handsome boy to look at and just a wonderful pet. Quite calm and gentle unless he smells food, hahahttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...88bf68cc93.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3f1d08ff7e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...361c8ddd40.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f30c7923f7.jpg

Yes, and that's a great description, thank you! He's probably the most muscular , strong , solid feeling snake I've ever handled.

Cant go wrong with a dum in my opinion. Their attitude and disposition is unlike any other.
We're overdue for an update on Sushi, by the way!

Agreed! Love my boy :)
Re: Champ the Dumerils Boa
Hers a couple of pics of Champ from tonight. He was moved up to a 175g rat last week, which he consumed without issue. I'm thinking this size once a month should suit him for a couple of years. He's such a trouble free boy and I feel lucky to have him. Thanks for looking!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b872e6e364.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4ccd8cca6a.jpg
