This is “Kahlos “ my 8 year old male Kahl albino boa , he is so friendly never shown any aggression, he has a mad feeding response but don’t most boas , he’s six foot and fed monthly on xl rats, I love his muscly jaw line

Thanks hilabeans. Yes there both pretty cool, Carlos is so nice and inquisitive, I was quite pleased when I came across the log in the woods near work it’s an old elderberry tree that had decayed.i found it when I was looking for some props for a display I was doing at the garden centre I work at

Interesting you touched on the feeding time there .. I was just reading about a bloke who's been feeding his adult Boa every 10 to 12 WEEKS , his vet reckons it's in perfect condition and health .

I know many OVERfeed their adult Boas but THREE months !?

    Any thoughts ?

I don't think that's for me personally, but there's a few people that give them the winter off and I suppose in the winter there's probably not that much food and the weather's cooler so may happen naturally in the wild.
I think his us his hormones as there's lots of eligible females in the room, I had taken him away from his girlfriend to feed the day before to feed them both and I guess he wanted to get back to it,[emoji2960]
