Sounds like great food drive.. None of my Balls have ever chased food.. They eat without a problem but they wait until they are Nose to Nose and grab it... The only Hunters I've ever owned were Burms. Thats cool yours is so confident.

She seams to enjoy being handled also. I hope to keep her feeling confident her entire life. Is a great sign of security.

Mine have done that several times. Of course a good part of the weight is crap..
My girls go up (with in the first 1 1/2 -2 years) around 100-150 grams a month and crap can weigh 20grams each x's each weeks feeding. Easily have 80-100 grams of waste in them and even more if prey is larger.

Thank you. As a novice I have tons of questions on the way for sure. I keep wondering that as she grows if she will get the bright yellow back with every shed or less and less as she ages. I know she is a Mojave. Not sure if anything else is in there. The breeder seamed unsure. Either way she is wonderful to experience and hold when I have her out.

Posting new photos. Still a healthy eater. I keep a strict schedule but would eat anytime I offered. Coming out of her shyness. Is very inquisitive when out her enclosure. How did you get her to look so bright yellow/green? A photo app filter? I didnt know Mojave could look like that. Regardless, shes a great snake

No photo adjusting. Is her natural color. I have always wondered if you had something else in her the breeder said it was possible she did have something else in her but he didn't know what.

I think she is getting a little chunky. I might need to go to 2 week feedings instead of weekly?

She is 400ish grams. Feeding medium ASF..... They don't get as large as white rats.

I don’t know I don’t feel comfortable advising here. You may need a veteran to step in
ive always heard weekly appropriate meals for bps. What makes you think she’s overweight or too big ? Is she saggy? Does she feel tone. She doesn’t look fat to me

She could be good weight for her length. I just think she is a little plump from looking at her. She is active when being held. She moves around her enclosure just fine. Might just be me.

I've personally cut back to feeding every 10-14 days and my BP has just entered her next shed cycle right on schedule (about every 2 months now). I wait until she actively starts hunting around her enclosure before I offer, so she gets a little bit of exercise in before she goes into a food coma for a few days lol. She looks healthy and is fairly active on this schedule, and that works for me.
Maze is about 400g now as well, for reference.

On average is 30 gram ASF. She eats really well and chases her food down. I want to switch her to FT soon so might be a good time to start trying.

Had Shiva out last night. She is right at the 1k mark empty (pooped the night before). 987g to be exact. She has grown a lot in the past year in my care. She was born May 2017.
