Desert Ghosts are growing up..
My babies are getting big! My Pastel Enchi girl is missing. She is deep in shed [emoji4]
First up the only male, Pastel Butter Enchi Desert Ghost "Sirius".
Then my Lemonblast Enchi Desert Ghost female "Aurora"
Lighting was not the greatest, can't wait to make outdoor pictures again, seems to be the only way to capture that highlighter yellow..These pictures are really washing out the color..but its what I have for now ;)

Thanks !
It drives me bonkers that I cannot get their yellow to show up right on pictures. The only picture that shows the true yellow color is the one where I hold up the Lemonblast Enchi DG in my hand, in the sunshine.
All the others look washed out. There has got to be a trick, but I haven't found it yet...LOL !!

It is so hard to capture how bright, especially the ones that are mostly yellow, whiteout them getting washed out. I notice this every time I try to take pictures of my banana pastel girl.
Regardless, they all look gorgeous! I love each of them, you really made some great choices.

Thank you !
The best way I have found is a sunny day, outdoors, in the shade (not in the super bright sun)
Really hard to capture that glowy yellow ;) But you should know, you have those, too !
All mine are growing rapidly, even on a conservative feed schedule (no pushing). Aurora was not a fan of switching to F/T but now she is ready for more every day, it seems. They do seem to grow fast, have you noticed that with yours? Arjana is already at what some consider "breeding size" but I'm waiting until next season, want them all nicely grown out and mature before I try..

My pastel desert ghost is by far my fastest grower but I don't have any other visual desert ghosts except a tiny pastave that I have not had long enough to tell. So with only my one big girl DG, it's hard to say if it's the DG or just her.

Nice looking worms Z. Let me know if you figure it out because I have the same problem shooting my hypo stuff. They always look better in person than in pictures.

Try a bright sunny day, but in a shady spot.
Of course, it needs to warm up a bit first, LOL !!

the colors on Sirius are so soft! i love it.
beautiful babies. :gj:

Those are AMAZING, desert ghost is likely the gene that I will always regret not working with.

Thank you :)
You are working with my other BIG FAVORITE, the Leopards !!
My goal is to combine Leopards with Desert Ghost and sprinkle some Enchi in there, too ;) All for good fun, though, I just love those genes..
I was playing around to see if I can get the colors to look more authentic by changing the "black background picture" via software. Normally I would NEVER do that, I find it very un-ethical to enhance pictures to make an animal look better.
However, I simply tried to make the picture look like the snake, color wise. Not to make the picture look "better" then the snake. I've come very close to it. The color shown on the enhanced picture is the color she has in the un-enhanced picture where I hold her in my hand in front of the window (her true color). But in the enhanced picture you see the entire snake and the pattern, which you cannot see in the window picture.
So now I have a picture of the entire snake , with her color looking more accurate.
