Minimum Letter Requirement
Can reduce the number a bit? It's currently 6 and that is way too high. You can't even just reply "Yes" or "No." Whay is there even a restriction in the first place?

Yup, we live in a very automated, very lazy world. People break my stones all the time because I still use punctuation and proper grammar in texts, etc...
But, I'm guilty too, I've shared "pics" but I've still never "LOLd" or "BRBd", hahahahaha

Our mission is not to have games or facilitate those games by shortening the minimum letters requirement, it's already a good thing that we tolerate those game considering the extra work they involve for the staff.

shortening the minimum letter requirement for games is just my guess. ;)
Re: Minimum Letter Requirement
I never had a problem with it, outside of games most replies are usually longer than that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's not about laziness. That's a BS retort to be honest. And as some one whose career is as a developer/code monkey, I don't understand the spam reasoning. Spam posts are usually large and have links to hack sites.
And I think the limit used to be 4 but I may be wrong.
I do find it annoying when it happens. And it just doesn't seem justified. Sometimes I'd like to just say "Yes" or "Right" or "OK" instead of having to think how to elongate what should be a shorty response.
4 is the minimum letter requirement for the search bar. for example, i can't search for Ax b/c that's only 2 characters. i can't search for Axe either b/c that's 3. however i can search for Ax01 or Axel.
:)

As someone who volunteers my time here to enforce what the owners want......... I don't care if it inconveniences you. They have things set for their reasons and that is all any of us need to know that is unless you are a co-owner??
You do know you don't have to deal with it right?

The limit has not been changed. I am sorry that you find it to be an inconvenience, but it is not something that we currently feel the need to evaluate changing. It is working for the intended purposes and that is all the justification that is needed.

"Do we really need? What is the justification?"
It's just in my nature.
I was at least hoping for a explanation. I didn't really get one. That is my only disappointment.
i think the minimum character limit might just be built into the forum software, something the Admins/Mods do not code themselves or have control over.
