    All Ohio Reptile Show
Anyone going? It's in Columbus, Ohio on the 24th. RodentPro's going to be there and I've already put in an order for pick-up. Yay! No shipping!

Hey Lynn...I am considering going however my wife's bday is the 21st so I'm debating if doing something I would enjoy rather than doing something for her would be a smart idea LOL. She loves going to the shows don't get me wrong but it is her bday weekend. That and the 6hr drive with current gas prices makes for a bit more expensive trip. I do really want to get the het pair of boas I have sold my only problem with that is again would I actually make it home with any of the money left...(mainly due to the fact that I can't say no!)

I hear that Heath! I think I'm going to have to go with just enough cash to pay for the rats... otherwise, I ALWAYS end up bringing something home. I've got a nice empty thirty gallon aquarium just sitting all empty in a corner... really want to fill it with a beardie. But another snake would fit, too. Oh, the possibilities... and no money to support them :P

Six hours is also quite a ways to drive. Gas prices here have dipped a little, but not much. They're running around 2.75 at the cheapest. Which is still enough to make me ill.

Also, tell your wife happy birthday! Get her a pretty snake!

I can't beleive I'm saying this but 2.75 doesn't sound to bad... I think here its just down to 2.79. I mentioned the show tonight and she said we could go...I'll have to think about it, i really have a hard time with self dicipline and after these boas go I will have cut myself down to just a few bp's that I want to breed.

...must stop thinking of other reptiles wanted....

I'm so sad about that as well. I was doing some figuring today, getting down in the nitty-gritty, trying to figure out how much money I could afford to spend at the show. I was like "Huh... I'll have that much left over after bills... well, I could afford a new beardie... I don't have to eat..." :ohmygod:

But it's your anniversary! I'd love to get a snake for my anniversary... maybe you and your wife could get something together...? Lol, hope you have a good one, no matter what you plan on doing.

I'll definately let you know if we decide to go...it would definately be cool to meet up with you!

P.S. My wife has actually taken a liking to the little girl I purchased from you. She understands the temperments and attitudes of most of my snakes now and doesn't mind holding them and helping me with them but she really like this new girl. I told it was "hers" for lack of a better excuse for adding it to the collection, she liked that idea LOL. (she has had other animals currently an adult male dragon which she loves).

Glad she likes her, Heath. She was always a good little girl for me. I actually got her from PetCo... she was the only one in the shipment that looked remotely healthy, moving around and stuff. I asked to hold her and she had a good strong grip, too... but she was really skinny. I bought her without even really thinking about it. Just couldn't let her stay there...

Once I hold them, I'm gone, lol! I wouldn't have minded keeping her... I liked her. But I've decided I'm going to stay more into adopted animals. The three I have now are all rescues/adoptions, animals that people weren't taking care of and/or didn't want anymore. And I don't want to breed, so...

Definately let me know if you're going. I'm picking up my rats and drooling over dragons... and boas, and ball morphs, and everything else... My roommate wants to go with me. I gotta feeling she wants to drool over dragons, too. Good times!

As cool as would be to meet up with those going to Columbus, I think that if we go to a show I will check out the Valporazo, IN show. Its much closer for us at around 3.5 hours compared to 5-6. I've never been to the valpo shows so it might be cool to check out. Anyone been to the Valpo shows??

Never been to the Valpo show. I'm originally from Indiana, but the southeastern side. I used to go to the Indianapolis show all the time. It was HUGE! Tons of vendors... course, it was the main show for entire Midwest.

Let me know how the Valpo one is... maybe I can check it out when I'm home sometime :)

    Re: All Ohio Reptile Show
well, i've been getting some negative vibes from folks about the valpo show...no wonder not many have heard of it. Sounds like its pretty small (almost sounds like the Taylor, MI show). SO, still wanting to get out to a show...and with my wife's actual consent AND interest we my head down to Indy for that show Sunday. Sounds like its a pretty big deal? ;)

The Indy show is awesome, Heath! I would definately recommend. It's a lot of fun, and pretty big... at least, it was the last time I went.

As for the Ohio show, I totally forgot that I had football tickets for the game this Saturday. I'm still going to the show (gotta pick up my rats) but I'm going bery early---as soon as they open---and probably won't be staying long. It's kinda disappointing cause I wanted to hang around and look at some stuff, but, oh well. The first conference game of the season shouldn't be missed. :) Anyway, hope you enjoy both if you decide to go to them.
