Corn island Nicaraguan boas
Ive had my corn island nics for over six months and they pretty cool , I love the way they change colour from a light silver to an almost kaki green and there belly colour is just amazing saying there just 100% pure locality and not a hit of morph in them,
They feel different from my normal boas and seem to have smaller scales and feel silky almost like a colubrid and they never seem to hold on for nothing

Very nice nic... what is their temperment like? I heard most nic's are grumpy for the most part!!
Re: Corn island Nicaraguan boas
Thanks jus1more
There there very food driven, but all mine have been so good and relaxed, they never hold on either the male can be a bit defensive sometimes but my hypo Nicaraguan and the corn island females are as soft as anything

I figured Vin or Gus Rentfro had some part of the mix there.
I've read and researched a fair amount on boa constrictors. I like the island boas. They tend to be slightly more arboreal, and their diets are based more on migrations than the mainland boas.
Similar to the dwarf populations of retics which is interesting
I enjoy seeing these a lot!
Re: Corn island Nicaraguan boas
It's weird my mainland Nicaraguan feels totally different to red nic , red nic almost feels like a colubrid if that makes sense. the red nics feel alot smoother and there looks are so different even there head shape . there light and dark phase is pretty extreme from a nice light grey to an almost kaki green/grey

Ah, I didn’t take note of that since I was admiring the blush. I see what you mean.
