My birthday came early....

He's pretty chill so far, but I'll keep you posted :D

Hopefully he isn't like my Marble Borneo boy - "Bam-Bam"... He started out sweet as could be for about the first month then he decided to turn psycho overnight. He has been that way for a few months now, but i've been working with him a lot and he's showing some signs of improvement. All of my other Bloods and Short Tails were the exact opposite... They started out psycho for about the first month and have been sweet as can be ever since...

Thank you!!! I'm stoked to have him join the family.
I was almost set on a BRB, but saw this guy's pics on morphmarket and had to do it. I had been researching my next snake for a while and Bornneos were on the short list.
I decided to go more heavy bodied than my King, Hognose and BP.

No morph, he's just a normal Borneo Short Tail.
He's a beautiful boy, regardless.

Thanks, I think so too. He's gonna be a big boy. I'll start a progression thread post shed.

As for a name, I have a few in mind, but want to get to know him first.

Yours looks pretty calm and relaxed. None of that "chin in the air, I'm watching you, I'm gonna kill you" posing, LOL !!!

He seems pretty mild-tempered so far. Just a few wimpy hisses. I was actually a little surprised by how "wimpy" they were. But, I was only checking on him and changing his water dish, which he seems to love hiding under.

Between being in his new home and being in shed I'm just leaving him alone to acclimate.

Not to be redundant, but I can't wait to see him after he sheds!!!

Thanks, I can't wait either. It's been so hard to leave him alone, and it's only been a week, hahahaha.
He's upstairs, so at least I'm not passing by him all day long!!!

I'll start an actual progression thread once he's shed and I've decided on a name...it's down to 3 options, so I'm making progress...

He shed...It was in pieces, but complete.

So I took him out for a minute and grabbed few quick pics.

Now he's back in his enclosure and just needs to eat...and I need to decide on a name...

OMG he is absolutely stunning out of shed. How was it dealing with NERD are they pretty good with replying?

Thanks!! Yeah, I dig him. I knew I wanted something different, something bigger. So far, I made the right choice.

As far as NERD, I was happy. I also had the benefit of being less than an hour away.
I called and was able to get pretty much all of my questions answered within a few minutes. He put me on hold, explaining he was going to physically ID the animal and get all the info I asked for. He was back within a few minutes with all the info. I called back later that day and put the deposit down. Drove up the next morning and was happy when I got there too. Chances are good I'll go there again.

I love the ankh symbol on his head. He is gorgeous @

I love that movie! I watched it recently after almost forgetting about it. I watched it with my kids and told them I used to watch it when I was a kid. I don't remember seeing duck boobs and you should've seen their faces. They all immediately looked at me with the "explain yourself" face.... beautiful snake btw 🖒
