    Can't decide
I have a Pastel Het Clown and have not yet found a male Clown that I really like so I have decided to just make my own the long way. :gj:

Now I just don't know which male to use.......

Not sure it makes any sense to make possible hets. I do like pastel lesser clowns and all combos of those morphs but breeding a het to a pastel lesser to breed back and hope you picked a het seems like it could amount to a huge waste of time if you don’t get lucky. I personally would hold out until you find the right visual. You would most likely get visuals your first clutch. Not only will that be rewarding in itself but you would also have so many more options for the next future pairing.

if I had to choose from your choices though, I would go with the pastel lesser because you’ll at least produce some beautiful combos, you might just have to wait a very long time to get any visual clowns.

Well Double recessive are a pain so I would probably wait to do visual to visual and make guaranteed DH if you want to go the Double recessive way.

To me it would be a toss between Pastel Lesser and Pastel Mojave (in clown I tend to prefer Lesser over Mojave), I would not personally do Pewter simply because it add a lot more pattern to the clown and it really makes them muddy (they are cool when they are young as they grow not so much)

    All I have is time.
I am never in a hurry on any of my projects. ;)
Also holding back the entire clutch isn't a problem, just like my VPI Snow project.

Ok, if you plan to hold back all of them and breed them all then that will definitely increase your odds of hitting on at least one of them.

I agree with Deb and all her points, especially that lesser goes best with clown out of your options.

I like your patience attitude, I’m the exact opposite, and will probably never attempt a double recessive, because my impatience would force me to spend a fortune buying the visual genes.

Can't see the poll on tapatalk [emoji26] I see lesser and Mojave mentioned tho, I would do lesser in clown over Mojave. Mojave clown just don't look like clowns to me.

My vote was for the VPI Axanthic, especially if time and space are no worries. But I'm a fan of double recessive stuff and long odds :)

pastel lesser, as this sounds like a crazy looking clown project, with the high chance of super pastels.

I said pewter but I know nothing about breeding genetics with ball pythons so I might have just suggested something fatal :O

Got on the pc to look at the poll, if it was me, and we might have completely different tastes in morphs. Since you have a het pastel I would look for a leopard het clown. JKR has a leopard het clown that is very reasonably priced, and you know he's a great breeder. You will make visuals and hets off that pairing(maybe female normal clown so you can put any het clown with her to start another line). Then after you get a leopard pastel clown you like for hold back, you could breed back to your pastel for killer leopard clown(super pastel and leopard). They are absolutely stunning. And as you mentioned, it's alot of time and that's the only bad thing with recessive project.

This is one of the routes I will be going, I'll be looking for a couple hets, or another visual female, at the upcoming repticon in January since I just purchased a visual female clown from JKR myself and wait to get 2 het males next year so they mature about the same time for breeding. If you'd like to talk more just shoot me a message.

If this is the case i'd try to pair it with the pied. It may not be the best option but it's my vote. Clown pastel lesser stuff is hot but a lot of people are doing that. Plus double het and recessive stuff is in a league of its own.
