Hemostats Or Tongs?
Which do you prefer? I'm trying to decide on which to get...

One of each depending on the snake. For the babies, i use hemostats but for the big snakes, i use tongs as hemostats dont really work well with holding a guinea pig or rabbit lol. For a BP, i would just use hemostats.

Thanks for the reply!
What size hemostats do you suggest for an adult male BP? 10 inch? 12?

I use 12 inch tweezers. It's what I am used so I guess it depends on what you are comfortable with.

Yeah, I’ve heard of people using those, but I think they’re a little too big for a BP xD

I just hand the rats to them, lol. My bps are too lazy to have much of a strike, and my corn literally just takes stuff from my hand. She's literally gentler than my dog. I've used tongs in the past though with more "food motivated" snakes.

hemostats are way easier to grip with than tweezers. I only use tweezers for mice. Hemostats for my BP's rats, and a long set of hemostats for my boas... I will soon be getting a "grabber" to use for them though.
