Mantids are so adorable in a weird sci-fi way and the way the move is really cool to watch. I wish they lived longer. Very cool photos!

No, I think they are cool, they have always fascinated me but there are no plans on starting breed Mantids, I would love to own a Orchid Mantid one day but again no breeding plan there either, I am busy enough breeding BP, Hognose, and Honduran Milksnakes. ;)

Just offering room and board to my new friend during the winter.

Cool good for him and you. Now he or she gets to stay warm for the winter. Heck you probably saved its life. I recently got in to invertebrates. I just picked up a pink toe tarantula which i'll post pics of some time.

Your mantid has something to be thankful for! Your husband’s a real sweety.

Your thread is making me want a praying mantis LOL! And your photos are wonderful! I wanted an orchid mantis for awhile, but their lifespans are so short that I never committed to it.

I have a little colony of them that I keep for my beardie. I take really great care of them and actually feel kinda sad when they get crunched and munched up. But the moment one starts to gently cup around my fingertip I'm immediately reminded that they are roaches and I must resist the urge to fling them across the room while screaming.
