Are Spurs always visible? I haven't checked to see if boople has any showing.

Edit: i think that my Ruby girl's spurs looks well did! like she just got a mani-pedi w/ new polish. ;)

She is absolutely stunning! Pardon my ignorance but is she a BEL? I feel like an idiot when identifying morphs. Wish there was beginners guide out there.

she's an all-white Pied, Lesser Pied (poss. Cinny) to be specific. i like the subtlety of her looks b/c she looks like a BlackEL, but she has genetic potential. her red pupil was more noticeable when she was a bb but u can still see it when the light hits it right/certain angles.

So do all sneks have Spurs or just the females? I checked on the girls at work and yep, Spurs are there. I have never noticed them before.

All snakes have spurs, and some are more visible/bigger than others!

Ok so dumb question. What are they used for and if it's for locking, if they both have them how do they work with each other?

Males use the spurs to “tickle” the female’s body to stimulate her to mate. You can see them moving back and forth, it’s pretty neat! They aren’t used for locking.

Not that weird! Human males have nipples with no purpose because the fetus develops mammaries before the Y chromosome kicks in and tells it that it needs male genitalia.

Spurs are supposedly the remnants of the legs that snakes once had, a long time ago. It's now just a useless body part, besides the tickling.
