Albino Enchi
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOUesYrv3UA
She's finally arrived! I am now officially a BP owner! Huge props to Dynasty Reptiles for making my first online reptile purchase so smooth and stress-free! His awesome rep is well-deserved.
I need to think of a name, but no rush. I usually need a few days to get a feel for a new pet before thinking of a name anyways. She's currently exploring the crap out of her new tank, climbing all over the plants, vines, and hammocks. I figure she'll settle in one of the hides once she realizes there's no way to escape, lol.

Good healthy looking baby. Congrats.

Going to comment about your new noodle here because that other thread is all kinds all over the place
Is that the king/queen of all dog breeds a basset hound I see? I mean your snake is gorgeous but you have a basset?!
<--- loves all things basset

Re: Albino Enchi
I can never watch enough unboxing videos!....and this one is neat because I remember you talking about getting an albino enchi last week (killer morph by the way).
....I like your use of feet to hold the box as you're opening

Yep, that's Hailey, my Basset Hound. She's not a big fan of snakes. When my corn snake, Lily, was an itty-bitty, Hailey scared her by sniffing her and got bit. Even though Hailey wasn't hurt, Hailey always run when Lily's nearby now, even though Lily's not afraid of her anymore, lol. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts to the BP. It'll be a while before I let them meet though.

I love the morph, the pics didn't do her justice. She's gorgeous!
...and yeah...I should probably get something to hold my phone for videos, but feet also work quite well for certain item-holding purposes :P

Congratulations! She's beautiful. It's always so exciting to welcome a new baby snake into the house.

Re: Albino Enchi
Beautiful snake, I just received my first albino morph today. Definitely a morph that needs to be seen in person to really appreciate them. Was never a fan of albino anything. My spider is het for lavender albino tho, so I pulled the trigger on a lavender albino. Not regretting it one bit.

So, I have underestimated just how jumpy she is. I've accidentally spooked her already. Last night, I got up and was passing by the tank when it was dark, and heard this scrambling noise. Turns out she'd flung her head into the nearest toilet paper tube cause she'd been sitting out in the open, and saw me walk by. Poor thing.
Right now, she is enjoying the safety of her warm hide.

Now that I know how big she is, I'm also going to either buy or make her more hides. I got lucky in that my corn's old hide was a good size for her, but they don't make that cave anymore, so I can't just buy more  The new Exo Terra caves look totally different (and I'm annoyed cause the entrance is way more narrow). I did find a rather neat tutorial on homemade clay though, so that might work out better anyways. I love an excuse to get crafty!

Don't worry about the new exo terra they are actually way better designed. I showed the dimensions if you want to see them. I can find and link it.
I have the extra large ones for my adult (~48 inches, 1200 grams) and it fits perfectly. He actually is much more comfortable in them than the old design which I had.
Edit here is the post:

The larges look fine, but the smaller ones are annoying. The entrances are too narrow. I have no idea why they designed them like that.

So I noticed the noodle was being really active tonight. Thought it was weird since she'd been so shy up til now, but then I remembered the breeder say her last meal was last Friday. My guess as she was out looking for her food (amazing how snakes just know these things). I was gonna give her a few more days to settle, but I figured if she was in hunt mode, then what the hell, I'd offer a mouse (the rat pups I ordered ended up just being a bit too big for her just yet, and she's been on mice anyways so far).
Weighed her in the critter carrier at 133g. She's only two months old, so I guess that's not bad. Anyways, F/T mouse was ready to roll. Tried to see if she'd take it with a zombie dance. Nope. Then remembered a trick I'd seen on a video and just let the mouse drop and lie there. Sloooowly, she started to investigate, then BAM! Nailed it.

She slammed it down. Missed getting a pic of her adorable "snake yawn", but I'll have other chances, I'm sure. Placed the carrier at an angle in her tank so she could crawl out, and she's currently holed up somewhere in the plants behind her warm hide (she'll be warm regardless).
I am so happy! She seems like she'll be a good feeder, and wasn't at all fussed about feeding outside the tank!
Meanwhile, Lily was looking at the entire thing like "where my mouse? :( :( :( "

(Sorry Lily, you'll get fed on Tuesday when it's your feeding day)
