    Mojave leopard (maybe fire) bee!
I just put a deposit down on a mojave leopard bee! The breeder thinks he might be fire as well. He was just hatched on 10-26-17, so I will be waiting a while before he is actually ready to ship, but I got a couple pictures from the breeder so I figured I’d go ahead and start a thread for him.

I would say he has fire in him. That contrast is nice.

I’m not experienced enough to say if he has fire or not. I’m not even that knowledgeable on spider mojave or leopards. So I don’t know what each gene is contributing to the snake honestly. I just love the contrast, head stamp, and the eyes.

I wanted a picture of his eyes, so the breeder took a nice photo of his eye. I’m so freakin excited to get this snake!!!

Guys! He should be here on Thursday if weather cooperates. He was suppose to ship Monday, but with cyber Monday FedEx wasn't guaranteeing shipments. So, I need some help with a name! I was kinda thinking Sonic because I am a Subaru enthusiast, and they painted a handful of cars "sonic yellow" back in the day. I'm not sure about it tho. Could you guys let me know if you can think of anything better?

i like the name Sonic. it reminds me of the hedgehog who was WR Blue Pearl and not yellow Lol. or how about Scooby? or Pleiades? i believe that's the constellation in the Subaru logo.

anyway i can't wait to see more pix of this hot BP! congrats again!

Scooby was actually my first choice. However, once the GF realized the cats name(REX) is a Subaru reference, she was less than thrilled about another Subaru name. Sonic is a little more sneaky lol.

He is here! I didn’t keep him out long before letting him settle into his new tub. But he looks great! This is my first snake with the spider gene. I’m gonna be on the look out for the spider quirks lol. In the past I swore I would never own a spider, but they’re just so pretty I had to give them a chance.

    Wow, pretty snake!

You won’t be sorry about getting a spider, they make great pets and the wobble thing is way over exaggerated. 99% of the time it is nothing to be worried about. Most people that make such a big deal about it never even owned a spider lol. They do some odd things sometimes but they are great! Congrats!

it's the most extreme examples of the Spider wobble that makes it to youtube, etc. all and gets attentiopn. only one of mine has exhibited the wobble and it's only when he gets excited for feeding. they're fine to keep and a beautiful morph. everyone should have a Spider. (:

What a awesome pickup! I agree with Ax on everyone owning a spider morph. They are enigmas in their own right. :gj:

Thanks everyone! He seemed to be slightly doppy out of the box. He had his head tilted slightly sideways. But nothing excessive. He seemed to be slithering around his tub completely normal. I’m curious to see how he eats and if he has any noticeable wobble. Either way, I am very excited about this snake! He just needs a name lol.

So, he does look absolutely fantastic in person. However, his colors are not complex. He is yellow and black with a slightly faded head. So, the camera honestly does a good job of showing off his colors. Its not like my banana pastave that looks kinda bleh in pictures, but in person he is highlighter yellow and purple.

I just offered him his first meal with me. He took thawed with no hesitation. He struck at the mouse once and didn’t construct. Instantly recovered and struck and constricted.

It’s been 2 days since lemon has ate, and he went from 86g to 104g. Since he ate with absolutely no hesitation, I took him out to handle him for a couple minutes to see how he would react. He stayed pretty tense for a minute or two before slowly loosening up and cruising around. He definitely has a little head tremble when he first started coming out of his ball. Also, he holds his head slightly sideways sometimes lol.

Lemon has had 2 meals since being with me. A thawed mouse and most recently a thawed rat fuzzy. He is a fantastic eater so far! He has some spider doppyness, but nothing out of the normal I believe. I got an updated weight on him today. His belly is pretty pink, so he is going into shed.
