I've been in the breeding and caging forums. Evil temptations. Wow caging made from Rubbermaid... Rubbermaid sure makes getting a tank setup cheap and easy. Wish I had known that before buying glass tanks. Rubbermaid would be great for breeding too. I used to incubate, care for and hatch alligator eggs at UF. My father-in-law has incubators. I'm looking at the snake/hobby room thinking if we put a shelving system here we could get easily another BP. We already have 4 snakes, 2 are my daughter's and one belongs to my hubby and my BP. Heh. Snakes are like a crack habit aren't they? :D

Where would one go about getting a 100% het for pied male anyway?

If you want to get into breeding and are looking at hets, just remember to go with a breeder with a good reputation. Since the hets look like normals, some people can try and pass normals off as hets, and by the time you can verify that they're gone. Here's a couple places to start off with.

If you ever have a question about whether or not someone might be reputable, just ask. Usually someone has had some experience with them or if not you may not want to do business with them. I'm there drooling right now. He has quite a few het pieds and a couple of pages of pied bp. Gorgeous. Time to start my het pied plan and budget, I think. :D

Next thing you know you are pondering whether your teenagers will need that college fund or will they just party away their college years and whether you really truely do need that new couch you've been waiting for to buy when the youngest finally got potty trained!

But then you'll only run into Kara from NERD with her pics of the sweetest looking ball python morphs you'll ever see, or Joe Compel or Adam Wysocki with their websites full of temptation! Turn around and there's Vaughn showing off his lovely snakes or Daniel with his amazing female Siff and on and on LOL.

Mike and I have caved...totally caved! Yesterday I started phoning around to find a larger place to rent....we are running out of flat surfaces and need another bedroom to convert to a herp room....the new couch has been shoved WAY down on the priority list....my 3 oldest kids all want their own personal snakes....my romantic master bedroom now has been re-arranged to fit in a quiet quarantine area for the new WC female arriving on Wednesday.

Mike and I actually high-fived and hugged each other when our two snakes probed out as females....in front of people....like a pair of idiots...we weren't this crazy last year when we didn't own any herps...we were nice sane people (well in a relative way)...LMAO!

Well enough of my rant....it's 7 a.m. on holiday Monday and I really need to go do more drooling over the butterscoth hypo's! I have my priorities ya know!

Oh and that's such a pretty red crestie. *drool* I'm only have the one crestie right now, although I think my sister is sending me one more.... These herps are very addicting!!

Oh I know thisplace is trouble but I still love it.

I realized I was in trouble when I found myself telling my husband 'Hey! Did you know you can breed your own meal worms? We even already have a three section plastic container on wheels shown in the example! And there is that spare 10 gallon tank. Those leopard geckos sure are cute.'

Good thing it's a holiday and the shops are closed... ;)
